URGENT INTAKE 🚨
Welcome Ollie to 8 Below Husky Rescue 💔
Meet Ollie, a stunning 18-month-old Alaskan Malamute who has found himself in a situation no dog should ever be in!
Ollie was imported from overseas after a family applied to adopt him here in the UK. Tragically, when he arrived at what was supposed to be his forever home, nobody answered the door. The family had changed their minds, leaving this young boy stuck in a transporters van with nowhere to go.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that no checks had been carried out and nobody had met the adopters before Ollie was flown into the UK. We cannot stress enough how irresponsible this is. Rescues have a duty of care to the animals they place, and transporting a dog internationally without proper checks and safeguards puts them at enormous risk. It is a practice we do not condone and one that could have ended far worse for Ollie.
We received a desperate call to help Ollie, and stepped in immediately yo offer him the safety and security he deserved.
Despite all of this, Ollie is an absolutely incredible boy. He has the biggest heart, a beautiful nature, and a wonderfully cheeky Malamute personality that shines through.
Sadly, his coat has also been shaved right down to the skin, apparently in an attempt to keep him cool. As many of you will know, double-coated breeds such as Malamutes should not be shaved as their coats help regulate their temperature and protect their skin.
Ollie is now safe and finally able to relax. We promised this handsome boy that his next journey will be very different. We will take the time to find him the safe, loving, and responsible forever home he truly deserves. 🧡

@LuxMeaMundiAM Get a b12/folate blood test before taking any supplements. Symptoms ie reflux amongst others can occur because of low stomach acid. A PPI can make the issue worse in cases like mine. Going onto b12 injections reduced my reflux & food intolerances substantially.

We are urgently looking for a loving foster home for a pregnant Shepherd x Collie who has recently come into our care while an ongoing legal case is being resolved. She is due to give birth in very soon and deserves a safe, loving environment where she can feel secure and supported.
She deserves so much more than giving birth in kennels.
We would love to find her a calm foster home where she can settle, safely give birth, and raise her puppies until they reach 8 weeks of age.
What's involved?
A quiet, safe space for mum and puppies
Supporting mum as she raises her litter
Monitoring the puppies as they grow and develop
Providing regular updates and photos to our team
Transporting mum and puppies to any necessary veterinary appointments
Plenty of patience, kindness, and reassurance
We'll provide all food, equipment, veterinary care, and ongoing support throughout the foster period.
Due to the ongoing case, we are unable to share photographs of mum at this time.

At 10 years young, Oliver is a sweet boy who loves the comforts of home. He can be a little nervous at first, so he's looking for a patient family who'll give him time and space to settle in.

Razzy is still available, he’s not had any enquiries lately and his appeals don’t seem to do to well. Can you please share?
Razzy is looking for a new home. He is a 2 year old Sharpei/Patterdale cross.
He needs a new home due to emergency medical grounds of the owner.
He has been in foster since 2025 with his rehoming on hold until all relevant paper work, chip were updated. Now this has been done, Razzy can be rehomed.
He is reactive with dogs and had been badly mistreated, he would need a patient owner. He gets on with another dog he has been in foster with.
Razzy is chipped and neutered and registered with the vets.
He eats a mix of dry food with added protein and veg.
Razzy can be unsure meeting new people but settles quickly with calm, steady introductions.
He sleeps in the living room at night and can be left on his own for short periods of time.
Razzy has not had any interactions with cats.
He can be reactive to other dogs when he is on his lead. This however has been improving while he has been in foster care.
Razzy can't be let off the lead unless he is muzzled.
For Razzy's wellbeing he would likley be best as the only animal in the home.
He is good travelling in the car and can be reactive when the door is opened - however this has been improving since he has been in foster care.
Razzy loves swimming, toys and anything involving problem solving.
He is very obedient and highly intelligent, and hyper focused on balls rather than food. He's not food motivated in the typical way. He's great with people and attends care homes now and again with no issues.

‼️URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTION PLEASE ‼️ ELSIE is a blind female Sprocker Spaniel born in the UK in January 2026. She was born with microphthalmia (small eyes) so will never be able to see, & is typical of her breed - very vivacious indeed! BDRUK are looking for an experienced home for Elsie, somewhere she can experience the firm boundaries that she needs, training, routine, patience, & with someone around for most of the time. A home that will enjoy going back to basics with her & putting training in place. Elsie can live with other dogs but it is not known how she is with cats.

Junior is a 6 month old Malinois cross Mastiff. He is available and looking for a new home through no fault of his own.
Junior would be best in a home with no other pets due to his size and dominance over other dogs.
He is young enough to be trained however we will be very specific in his new home as we'd like someone who is use to the breed and can demonstrate that they can train him and offer him the guidance he needs.
Junior hasn't been around kids much. He would be best with older children of a teenage age due to his size.
He is chipped and eats meat pouches and biscuits.
Junior is use to being left on his own for any length of time and is great meeting new people.
He hasn't met any cats.
Junior is okay on the lead but will need training with this. He is also registered at the vets and loves playing with toys.
He is walked around 3 times a day and likes to go to the park.

Ralph is a 3 year old male French Bulldog. He is available and looking for a new home.
Ralph is fine with kids. He would be best with older kids over 7 years old.
He eats anything from dry to wet food. He isn't keen on chicken food as this makes him sick.
Ralph will sleep in his dog bed in any room that it is in.
He loves people and treats.
Ralph would be best as the only pet in the home as this is what he is use too.
He will occasionally have an accident in the house so will need further guidance with toilet training but does seem to be doing well.

We’re still looking for a home for Kobe as his previous offer fell through.
Kobe is a 7 year old male black Labrador Retriever. He is looking for a nice quiet home.
Kobe is use to other dogs, however gets anxious with loud noises such as bin lorries etc.
He would be suited to a quiet home with someone who is active and likes the outdoors, preferably away from loud noises.
Kobe loves to run and would run all day given the chance.
He has lived with another dog before sadly he passed away.
Kobe is use to walks with 2 other retrievers, he can be nervous of dogs bigger than him.
He is chipped and neutered.
Kobe eats dry food and is fine to be left on his own if you need to go out - he likes the radio left on.
He is use to sleeping near his owners or downstairs on the sofa with blankets.
Kobe likes treats and is very gentle when taking small treats. With bigger treats such as bones he will not allow you to take these away unless you offer him a smaller treat.
Kobe is registered with the vets.
He would be best in a home with no kids.
Kobe isn't use to cats and will bark at them.
He is excited to meet new people, he will bark as if to say ''what's going on here''.

He is good with older kids but will bark at other dogs.
Axl is in need of a new home through no fault of his own.

Axl is healthy with no medical issues.

Older dogs shouldn’t be overlooked, they can still have many years of an active and healthy life ahead of them.
Lucy is a 10 year old female Patterdale Terrier.
She is available and looking for a new home with someone who is home most of the time.
She is chipped and spayed and healthy with no medical issues.
Lucy hasn’t lived with any other dogs before but has lived with 2 cats with proper introductions.
Lucy eats Asda wet food and loves treats.
She can be left on her own and sleeps in her owners bed or her own bed.
Lucy would be fine with older kids and gets excited to meet new people.
She loves toys and will play with a tennis ball and loves to fetch. She needs to work on dropping the ball but does have a lot of fun chasing!
Lucy is house trained and travels well in the car, she may cry to begin with but does settle down.
She is a very loyal and loving dog and would suit someone who is around most of the time.

'Just had to post this photo these 2 dogs were next to each other in the pound and walked together the white boy Forest arrived at our shelter 4 days ago since then the girl Athena has been pining for him. They've just been reunited today as we agreed to take both dogs its probably impossible sadly to find them a home together 🙁

Oh Jack… where do we even start? This boy is just pure sunshine wrapped in fur. The moment he sees someone he likes (which is basically everyone), his whole face lights up and he lets out the most adorable happy little whine – it’s impossible not to melt!
He’s a total people-person (or people-dog?). He lives for cuddles, gentle pets, and just being close to his humans. After surviving tough days on the streets and then spending far too long tied up in a garden (which dimmed his sparkle for a while 💔), he’s finally in a safe, cozy pension where his true personality is blooming again – and wow, is it beautiful.
Jack has the gentlest soul, endless love to give, and the snuggliest hugs you’ll ever get from a dog. He’s simply waiting for his people – the ones who’ll never chain him, never leave him behind, and who’ll let him love them with his whole big heart every single day.
If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who greets you like you’re the best thing that ever happened to him (every time you walk through the door), Jack is your guy. He’s ready to come home and make every day brighter. 🏡❤️
