@DanHaymore@amuse As a female in corporate leadership, I can safely say you are correct. It’s not all women, but it’s enough. When speaking to female college athletes, I urge them to stand by each other. There’s beauty & strength in that, not ugliness we are seeing on many levels in WNBA.
@coachandere6xa@chiney Embellish? How did CC embellish that? Did she lift up her head & hit AT’s fist? Did she offer her groin area for AT’s foot? It’s so laughable. If you want to blame someone, blame officials that didn’t do their job & make the call in real time. It’s a foul - every day.
@viralnext1aig Following the semi-logic of the poster, Tamika Catchings should’ve been on it. There were other ways to rep 30 years that could’ve included CC along with Parker, Taurasi, Moore, Catchings & others. Bad marketing plan.
@YahooSports If she didn’t have history of this, one could actually believe it. Any competitor can get wrapped up in a moment. But this isn’t the 1st time. He can support in public, but I hope he’s having tough conversations in private. She’s too talented to leave this as her legacy.
@Gretagagame@WeNeedToTalk@kenswift@LisaLeslie She’s being Lisa Leslie. I liked that she was calm, reasonable, and clear. Her message doesn’t get lost in anger. I appreciate her perspective as a former player, current broadcaster, and as a fan. People listen to her.
As a former NBA team physician (76ers) for many years, who has sat through many many games up close, I can say without hesitation that WNBA players and officials have somehow been signaled and cleared to neutralize or even harm (for reasons I cannot fully understand) Caitlin Clark. Hopefully they will wake up and appreciate this league-saving extremely talented once in a generation player. Kind of reminds me of when our amazing Allen Iverson came in to the league. Although I don’t believe anyone set out to harm him, the league & refs initially seemed to do their best to try to neutralize him and (unsuccessfully) reduce his star-power. With Caitlin, it’s gone to a whole new and unacceptable level where I believe actual intentional harm is in play.
@CaitlinClark22@IndianaFever@WNBA
@GloriaJRomero@WNBA@CathyEngelbert@CaitlinClark22 This is my point exactly. As a female in leadership, I see a WNBA that sets us back YEARS! All people see are a league of “mean girl” bullies who are just petty and jealous. Embarrassing.
@FroemelAndy@IndianaFever My daughter played college basketball and is CC’s age. I’ve watched her play since they were in 5th grade. Been a fan of hers & Paige for years. It’s disgusting and disrespectful- to use Steph White’s own words - to condone this sick behavior that only the mentally ill excuse.
