This morning at #ASSA2023@kkoutout did a great job presenting our joint work using a large scale field experiment, showing that impact statements increase giving at checkout, and evidence to refute a hypothesis of crowding out other donations.

One potential explanation is that ppl believe women and men hold different beliefs about what other ppl choose in this experiment, but I lean towards the social norms are diff on twitter explanation.
