Kadar inflasi Malaysia pada Mei 2023 turun ke 2.8%, yang merupakan inflasi terendah dalam setahun menandakan penstabilan harga secara menyeluruh.

Penstabilan harga adalah sebahagian dari strategi menyeluruh kerajaan untuk menangani kos sara hidup rakyat agar tidak membebankan.

📍Penstabilan Harga: Selain dari instrumen dasar dan penguatkuasaan, Kerajaan melalui Inisiatif Usahawan Tani (INTAN) akan memastikan bekalan makanan yang mencukupi untuk tempoh sederhana dan jangka panjang supaya seiring dengan permintaan pasaran.

Pengumuman projek-projek INTAN melibatkan 1,000 ekar pertama akan dibuat pada bulan Julai 2023.

📍Peningkatan Gaji Secara Progresif: Kerajaan akan memberikan fokus untuk membangunkan Dasar Gaji Progresif yang akan dibentangkan kepada Majlis Tindakan Ekonomi Negara pada bulan Ogos ini. Dasar ini bertujuan untuk memastikan pertumbuhan gaji yang lebih sekata dan inklusif, mendorong kepada gaji dan pendapatan yang lebih baik kepada semua pekerja.

Ini adalah kali pertama dalam sejarah negara mana-mana pentadbiran mengusahakan dasar khusus mengenai pertumbuhan gaji yang sekata dan inklusif.

Dua strategi bersepadu ini dijangka akan membantu menangani kos sara hidup rakyat melalui penyelesaian yang kukuh dan berkekalan.

Economic reform is not a straight line. We get it. But the gov media should be more diligent in their messaging & info distrinution. Don't make the same mistake PH did during the 22 months.

Ringgit and stock market performance are closely linked to progress on the economic reform agenda. The impact of these reforms may not be immediate, but it will take some time for the impact to be tangible and accurately reflected in financial metrics.

Fortunately, the market is already well-informed about ongoing reforms, such as refinancing and other initiatives. The conclusive figures at the end of the year will serve as undeniable evidence of the success of these reforms.

There is often a time lag between the announcement of policy measures and their concrete impact on the economy. But when the market understands and sees concrete results from the numbers, it will perceive accordingly and react accordingly. We must recognize that short-term interventions can come at a cost and may require a substantial amount of hard-earned resources.

Given the prevailing uncertainties, I maintain a prudent outlook regarding immediate outcomes.

Overall, we expect the market to react positively as the reforms take hold and positive effects become visible. Still, it's important to recognize the potential risks and uncertainties associated with short-term interventions.

Before implementing such measures, the benefits and potential drawbacks must be carefully weighed.
