@jblindsey731 Absolutely! In our class reading, "The Myth about No Significant Difference" talked about this. Using a video to teach a concept doesn't always get students motivated. We have to look at the design of our entire lesson and reconstruct the path to achieve the goals.
The Myth about No Significant Difference https://t.co/b5TF4Cy3Vr Food for thought. As Ts, "are we doing the same things with technology?" or are we using technology to enhance the goal of a lesson? Are we using technology instead of FtF teaching? #KSUITEC7410
@jbeckh21@wood2_ae@Beckhamtech In recent years, Ts have shifted away from using manipulatives in math. This would be a good time to start using technology in place of manipulatives.
@evenerjeff@DrBradJohnson Often Ts skill set and expertise are underutilized and untapped. Having meaningful conversations w/Ts and expressing trust, mutual respect, and connection are keys to supporting Teacher leaders.
We (especially admin) need to quit being afraid of pissed off parents. This is public service, not customer service. You want a school where you control all the rules? Homeschool or pay someone to homeschool. Your kids are not so special that they get preferential treatment.
We have always had SEL in schools. It was called recess, unstructured play, and classes like Music, Art, Physical Education, etc. but they have been systemically taken away or reduced because some have decided testing is more important than learning.
When I am asked my number one piece of advice for a new administrator, it is simply to take care of your staff. If you take care of them, they will take care of the students. A culture of care, support, appreciation and encouragement is a culture when everyone can thrive.

Day 4: Try to see the good in all that everyone does. I will always give you the benefit of the doubt unless you show me otherwise. Remember, when you show me your true colors, weโre done. No bad mouth, no retribution, just done. Light looks for light. #nonegativitychallenge
