@nateberkopec I feel it's the industrial revolution for knowledge workers. It will mostly get a lot of us find alternative careers
It was good while it lasted 🤞
@zeddotdev I realised @zeddotdev doesn’t have shortcuts for markdown for bold, italics etc. Is there a plan to do that in near future?
I’m opening obsidian for editing the markdown & using zed for code
@yashmp2004 For whoever who doesn't know CBIT Hyderabad was one of the most prestigious Non-IIT/NIT colleges in India at that point of time. I don't see why you call it a no name college. Please verify your facts
The older I get the more I realize most of life comes down to about 5 decisions. Who you marry. Where you live. What you do for work. Who you spend time with. What you do with the hours nobody sees. Get those 5 right and you can screw up almost everything else and still be fine.
No project has ever failed because of the programming language.
Projects fail because requirements are vague, goals are unclear, ownership is missing, tradeoffs are ignored, communication breaks down, and hard decisions get deferred until they become expensive legacy.
AI makes the programming language even less relevant. It doesn’t fix our habit of avoiding the hard conversations.
I think the healthiest form of ambition is simply curiosity about your own potential.
How good could I get at this? How far could I take it? What would happen if I gave this everything I had for five years?
A lot of people kill that curiosity before they ever get an answer. They decide what's realistic based on their environment, their age, their circumstances, or what other people have managed to accomplish.
Ambition is just refusing to decide your limits before you've actually reached them.
@system_monarch Pretty realistic instead of all the jargon you find online & in AI assisted answers 👏
The rule is simple, see what can break when you scale unexpectedly
This is the closest a DevTool I have wanted after burning out from AI & building an AI Application with lot of temporary team mates going on & off 🥳🥳🥳
Today we’re introducing Delta. Delta is a multiplayer environment for coding with agents and reviewing what they build, powered by DeltaDB.
The first invites to our private beta are going out now.

Friendly reminder that you choose your reactions. You don't have to go into a fit of rage when an idiot cuts you off in traffic. You could laugh instead, and if you choose to react that way consistently enough, the quality of your life goes through the roof.
Major cheat code for life: Always assume things will work out, then do the work to make it true. It’s a mindset of active optimism. Earned faith. It creates a quiet confidence that allows you to tolerate the uncertainty of life better than anything else.
I don’t think that’s the case at every company. Some companies just want seniors to just ship more without caring about the growth of the team. IYKYK some of those
Call it a millennial crisis if you want...
But in my 30's, I realized I don't actually want the life I worked so hard for. I don't care about titles. I don't care about climbing anyone else's ladder. I care about time. I care about slow mornings. I care about peace.I care about bare feet at the beach with nowhere to be.
I still want to make money... just not at the cost of my life.
if you spend all day at a fish market, you’ll leave smelling like fish, even if you never touched one
but spend your day in a perfume shop and you’ll carry the scent even if you didn’t buy anything, that’s how environment works. it rubs off, whether you realize it or not. stay around complainers and everything starts to look negative. stay around excuse makers and growth feels optional but get around people who move with purpose, you’ll feel it.
get around people who live in gratitude, you’ll start to see differently. the scent of your environment will always follow you.
Stop showing me your workflows, your custom harnesses or whatnot. WHERE ARE YOUR ACTUAL PROJECTS. Developers have this developer syndrome of focusing too much on tooling and methods. But the whole point is to build useful beautiful software.
This is free advice from an expensive psychologist.
If you're an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don't make everything a matter of life and death.
Major cheat code for life: Build a boring baseline. Go to bed early. Wake up early. Move your body. Eat simple foods. Save money. Read good books. Avoid drama. Be present. Listen intently. Change your mind. The inputs may not look impressive, but the results certainly do.
