Not sure if it is "millions", but irrational parents, delusional school athletic depts, pay to play, win by acquisition vs. development, unreasonable time/travel demands and the list goes on and on. youth sports is broken, period...across the board.

The LIV/PGA saga over the last half decade has reminded me of just how far removed professional golf is from golf itself.

Golf is a post-work twilight round at the club.

Golf is a regular Saturday game at your home muni.

Golf is sneaking away for a few hours early morning on vacation before the wife and kids wake up.

Golf is even better if they go with you.

Golf is the dance with nature, waltzing through a meadow, before stepping on your partners foot or into the bunker.

Golf is finding peace getting lost in ancient design, relishing in the reverence in one of the games cathedrals.

Golf is studying the chess match, and praying the swing can match the mind and be more useful than a pawn.

Golf is traveling abroad to make a loop around a track for the very first time.

Golf is wherever you find joy, and forgive a poor shot because you know your stroll is through paradise.

If you want to know what golf is not, at least not for us mere mortals, you can do it with whatever three letter acronym you wish.

The Hilton donated the ~2600 dinners that went unserved at WHCD. They freeze dried the steak and lobster for longer shelf life before giving them to 2 shelters for abused women and children. HUGE thank you to the staff that worked through the night under terrible circumstances.
