@heunh Hey @heunh I think that baby PISA is to early and can cause stress on children at an early age, and can make children like robots. But I also feel like baby PISA can target and help improve academic and social issues earlier. #AGD583

@ali_katxo Hi Ali, the US Dept. of Ed. probably cut funds do to lack of money. Many teachers are not familiar with other languages and hiring bilingual staff might would mean hiring more bilingual teachers and this may not be in the school budget.

@whitefire28555 A lot of teachers who are currently teaching are not bilingual. It is hard enough for schools in America to keep teachers due to low pay, so I feel like they are trying to keep the teachers that they do have. #AGD583

@whitefire28555 Many k-12 educators in schools do not know how to speak other languages and only a few educators are bilingual. Many teachers are choosing other professions due to low pay and the school boards are trying to maintain the staff that they do have.

A question that I have for some of NC teachers who have studied abroad and have caused alterations in their lesson plans to be more global is if these global lesson plans have improved students’ class work and test scores. #AGD583
