@thenewarea51 The pilot that ejected from that Hornet will receive a Bremont MB1 watch as a consolation prize from Martin Baker Corp for successfully riding one of their ejection seats out of a war machine.
@swajaaaa@thenewarea51 they probably sucked a bald eagle into the intake. The GE404 is a pretty robust motor with double redundancy baked into it, hydraulic failure is unlikely. Its baby bald eagle fledging season, especially in that area and it would not shock me if they sucked one in. GEF404's are 💪🏼
@thenewarea51 Imma go out on a limb and take a wild stab at this... based on time of year and location where this happend (VR1355), bird strike is not out of the question.

@linnea_kar991@SomewhereSkies@uncannyex X-36 was a 28% scaled technology demonstrator built to validate technologies for a tailless fighter configuration. It was literally just a platform to verify maneuverability for future tailless designs; i.e NGAD.
PS: just to add ... I know it's no proof at all, but it could be an explanation and especially the clearly longer and larger nozzles are another hint towards an engine change!
@StoriesBySammi wood ducks taste like pewp. best to shoot them with a camera instead because they're quite adorable and have funny little personalities.
@Harpthefirst@Sahara_LMR@ProjectFearX That was Lockheed's entry in the NGAD competition and sadly this is the only view we will ever get of it. It was no mistake, the aircraft was left out intentionally prior to its scrapping.
