Doesn’t have to pay for marketing, tools, equipment, insurance. Doesn’t have to find work, deal with clients, quote work. Doesn’t outlay any capital. 🤦

@surikee_ @BennyIceEyes @RobinBrown84712 @ChadNotChud This is a belief, not a fact. If I do a job completely on my own, so no one else’s labour, if I have quoted correctly I make “profit”. That is money above my hourly rate. Profit comes from finishing the job more efficiently than I anticipated and/or from a margin on materials.

It’s called the Pareto principle. They are not selling their labour for less than it’s worth. You are the 80 i am the 20.
