So important to remember. Constant struggle I have is to turn the hypercritical self in useful ways against the hypocrisy that is. Staying pessimistic and negative cannot be the solution even it is part of the process, re-imagining an optimistic future ultimately must be.
Jobs, internships, fieldwork opportunities, housing, graduation ceremonies, celebration defenses. One of my students summed up the situation perfectly: “everything is canceled or on pause except rent, debt and loans.”
