법원이 FTX 창업자 @SBF_FTX 가 항소를 기각하고 1심 유죄 판결을 유지하면서 징역 25년과 약 110억 달러의 몰수 명령은 그대로 유지됨.

주식·채권·가상화폐 매각대금 비중은 2021년 2.9%에서 올해 1~5월 7.6%로 뛰었고, 증여·상속 자금도 같은 기간 3.8%에서 6.4%로 확대됨.

최근 도쿄에서 열린 @WebX_Asia 행사에서 @BitGo 아시아 지역 비즈니스를 담당하는 Abel 님과 인터뷰를 진행했습니다.

Abel 님은 BitGo가 월렛과 커스터디를 기반으로 스테이킹, 거래, 담보 관리, 스테이블코인 발행, DeFi 접근 등 기관을 위한 다양한 인프라 서비스를 제공하고 있다고 설명했습니다.

또한 일본에서는 크립토 기업과 전통 금융사 사이에서 다양한 실증사업이 진행되고 있으며, 핀테크 기업과 거래소, 금융기관, 대기업의 참여가 확대되고 있다고 전했습니다.

향후 주목할 분야로는 토큰화 주식과 스테이블코인을 꼽았습니다. 특히 스테이블코인은 실제 문제를 해결할 수 있는 활용 사례가 확인되면서 발행과 도입이 더욱 늘어날 것으로 전망했습니다.

일본 시장에서는 세제 변화와 암호화폐의 자산군 인정이 기관 참여 확대를 이끌고 있으며, 토큰화와 스테이블코인 그리고 ETF와 함께 DApp 분야도 꾸준히 성장하고 있다고 평가했습니다.

While I'm not an equities specialist, I do think the spell has been broken, and am viewing these violent rebounds as deadcats, with the expectation that crypto will catch shrapnel early, but also bottom earlier than equities do.

If you're going to survive in crypto, you have to accept what it actually is.

You're going to get 35% pullbacks. You'll get 50% drawdowns.

None of it matters if you understand what you own.

The core of what you hold should be a small handful of networks with real, provable long-term value and genuine adoption. Get that right, and the drawdowns stop being terrifying. They become the point.

Because this is a long game. I think these networks become the pension for an entire generation. You don't trade your way there. You build a thesis, you accumulate, you keep something back for the big sell-offs, and you let time and adoption do the work.

The volatility is the price of admission. The people who make it are the ones who stop flinching at it.

Wages grow at the pace of the economy. Assets grow at the pace of liquidity... about 8% a year.

Own assets, the tide carries you up. Don't, and you spend your life running to stand still.

And it's deliberate. Banks, central banks and the treasury are the only ones who can create money, and they create it to fund the interest on their debt. That money floods in and lifts every asset with it.

Debasement, or liquidity if you want the nicer word. That's the force under everything.

Almost everything in crypto that failed the first time will eventually work sometime in the future.

Bitcoin looked like it had failed many times in the past. The same will happen with NFTs, creator tokens, DAOs, gaming, TCRs, onchain reputation, rebase tokens, decentralized storage etc

As time passes each of these ideas will make even more sense. I just think we’re still too early for many of them, and we don’t quite understand the need yet. But eventually it’ll make sense.
