NEW UBER SCAM BY DRIVERS @Uber_India

I recently booked an official Uber ride from Gurugram Sector 82 to IIT Delhi, with a stop at Sector 85. The ride started normally, but upon reaching my destination at IIT Delhi, I encountered a major issue:

8. Once I paid ₹575, the ride closed within 5 minutes, despite being open for two hours before that.

9. After the ride was finally marked complete, the total fare in my app was showing as ₹130 only.

6. He also showed a message claiming his Uber account was suspended for 7 days due to my complaint, which seemed fake.

7. After creating a scene and drawing a crowd, I paid the fare displayed in my app at the time of booking.

I raised a concern with Uber Helpdesk, and after a prolonged discussion involving the driver, Uber support, and me, I was instructed to pay the amount directly to the driver via UPI and share the payment screenshot over email.

4. The QR code provided for payment was not in the driver’s name.

5. In front of IIT Delhi security and my office colleagues, the driver threatened me, stating he would visit my home to collect the fare.
