As a family we upgrade to a new iPhone every year, either pro or pro max, then cycle the past year model to one of the other 3 (wife or 2 sons), no one has a phone more than 4 years old. Both grandmothers have older phones handed down to them. This scenario does not support the Apple Rent program. We ultimately spend $1200 per year to keep 4 people in relatively up to date iPhones. After the 18 rollout, we will have Apple Intelligence capable iPhones.

@neilcybart Agree, plus many people are not in an environment where you can constantly talk with your computer, or are in a noisy environment with others speaking which is pickup by the AI or dictation software. Not everyone works in a WAH secluded environment

@ForwardEditor Everyone wants to just talk to their computer/phone, that is fine if you are in a room alone, no stereo playing, relative quiet. Throw in a TV in the background, coworkers a cube removed, family on the couch next to you and voice suddenly stinks!
