💔 A Heartbreaking Beginning to 2026 for Bankers

In Ayodhya, Ram Babu Soni (38), an #SBI Branch Manager, chose the Saryu River over another day of pressure.

Around noon, he reached the bridge.
He shared his last location with his wife.
No long message. No explanation.
Just a silent goodbye.

He did not remove the bag from his back.
He carried it with him.
Files, responsibilities, fear, all of it, one last time.

It was broad daylight.
The bridge was crowded.
People watched, shocked, helpless.

Ram Babu Soni was from Mankapur, Gonda district, and was posted as a BM in @TheOfficialSBI Bahraich branch.

Why did a banker take such a step?
Officially, the reason is not clear.

But for bankers, it rarely is.

Relentless deadlines.
Unreal targets.
Constant inspections.
Fear behind every signature.
Public humiliation.
Sleepless nights.
Silent suffering at home.

Another banker lost.
Another family shattered.
Another life reduced to a headline.

This is how 2026 has begun for the banking fraternity.
Not with hope.
But with grief.

I have a few very basic and simple questions related to @bankofbaroda
Can someone please guide me under which law or act I can legally seek answers to these questions from the bank?

1. Who was the last person from the HR department that Shiv Shankar Mitra spoke to?

2. Why was Shiv Shankar Mitra’s VRS application on health grounds not immediately accepted?

3. Who are the employees of Bank of Baroda with whom Shiv Shankar Mitra had conversations that made him feel that ending his life was the only option left, instead of considering any other solution?

Please help me understand how I can legally get answers to these questions.

Without caring which union Shiv Shankar Mitra ji belonged to, you raised this issue purely out of humanity and that’s what real solidarity looks like.

And @aiboboa and @ChVenkatachalam should be ashamed of calling themselves unions.

They don’t even understand the true meaning of the word union.
