@MIZZOUinNE@tjcksn When treated with a VT timely good fungicide in regard to physoderma what else are you going to do other then identify susceptible varieties.
Happens quite often. $$ get thrown at new widgets & gadgets in hopes of making a big difference “next year” only to be disappointed b/c fundamental things like soil fertility, pest mngmt, & timeliness are not addressed. Vicious cycle.
With soybean mst’s down to 9-10% this week, we’re on the downhill side of the top yields seen last week. On-farm data shows fields that were mid-80’s last week with 12-13% mst are 7-10 bu/ac less with 9-10% harvest mst now due to harvest losses + mst shrink.
Silver Spotted Skipper larvae feeding pretty heavily in later planted soybeans. Causing a fair amount of defoliation but not working on the pods. Will let the beans out run them.
A battle took place on this ear of corn between aphids and parasitic wasps. It only took about 4 days for the wasps to win. Predatory insects are having a good year!!
