@misteaz79 Thank you! I'm so sick of that argument. It's a terrible comparison. Those of us who consume the plant get the entire symphony of alkaloids combined. It's completely different (and way better) than consuming one concentrated chemically manipulated alkaloid.
@OGKratomQueen My uncle just did last week from cirrhosis of the liver. He was a really bad alcoholic and was able to hide it from his whole family until he ended up in the hospital and died. But yes let's not educate people about the dangers of alcohol, let go after plants that are safe 😡
@Heaven807436108 It's banned in several counties and cities in California, not the whole state (some don't really enforce it like San Diego for example), but I believe the board of pharmacy is trying to ban it statewide now. Too much money in "recovery" in Cali with the 100ks of opioid addicts.
@JeniferPMartin1 7-OH is to the Kratom Leaf as delta-8 THC and HHC are to the cannabis plant
A synthetic plague giving plant medicine a bad name.
Gas station drugs
@Heaven807436108 Honestly I feel like most of us that consume kratom as a daily lifestyle don't buy from smoke shops anyway, I know I haven't in years, we get it from trusted online vendors that have quality products & testing. I just feel bad for Philly dispensaries right now. They are screwed.
In Southeast Asia, where kratom has been used traditionally for generations, there is no documented history of widespread deaths caused by natural kratom leaf use. Meanwhile, millions of people around the world use kratom to manage pain, improve quality of life, reduce or eliminate alcohol use, and walk away from dangerous drugs like opioids.
For many, kratom isn’t a problem. It’s part of the solution.
Instead of criminalizing a plant that has helped countless people, we should focus on education, consumer protections, product quality standards, and keeping adults free to make informed choices about their own health.

@Heaven807436108 Banning all sales for there reason is absolute BS. Several legitimate businesses that followed the rules are now totally fucking screwed. We're hoping we can get them to revisit this later since PA has regulation bills in the works.
@Heaven807436108 From what I've read in the bill it only bans sales in shops in the city. I believe vendors will still be able to ship to their Philly customers. There is also nothing about possession in the bill. The council was targeting the hundreds of smoke shops that were selling to minors.
@Kpascuch Yes I just wanted everyone to know that possession isn't in the bill. If you're talking about the CBD Kratom guy I actually met him yesterday in DC and we spoke with someone on Dave McCormick's health legislation team about Philly. We're hoping he'll give the mayor a call.
@Kpascuch IF we lose Philly, I believe online vendors will still be able to ship there. The Philly council is very hard headed, when they make up their minds about something that's it. I might be able to go tomorrow to testify but I just want everybody to know what we're up against.
@Kpascuch I'm reading the amended bill right now. This only bans the sale of kratom products in the city, as far as I can see there's no penalty for possession. A few lines need to be removed from the bill to only include synthetic products. The FDA approved thing need removed too.
This is why Thailand originally banned Kratom.
We see the same shit here in the states except it’s not to protect opium, it’s to protect Suboxone.
Banning Kratom in the USA is to protect Big Recovery/Rehab a guaranteed slice of the opioid abatement money pie.
I recovered from active addiction at home, with my kids. No Big Pharma intervention. A patient cured is a customer lost.
Also, Thailand reversed the Kratom ban in 2021.

@Heaven807436108@Kratomlife420 They just need to require proper labeling and testing for kratom products sold in the city. The councilwoman acted as if the city would have to go around testing products 🤦🏻♀️ she just didn't understand. We all gotta send emails again recommending how to enforce this.
