@peterframpton Sorry, Pete, just like your guitar won't play any music without human interaction, neither will a gun just magically jump up and shoot someone. Thanks for playing.
Seattle passed a $26/hour min wage to help gig workers. It made things WORSE.
Driver pay didn’t rise, but customers pay more, and restaurants get fewer orders.

🚨 HEROES ROSE IN MCKINNEY TONIGHT - AND CONGRESSMAN KEITH SELF DELIVERED THE TRUTH WITHOUT FLINCHING
While residents packed the room, U.S. Congressman Keith Self looked the Mayor and City Council dead in the eye and refused to soft-pedal reality.
By the way, take a moment to listen to the crowd irrupt with cheers when they heard it was their congressman!
Self reminded them of 1,400 years of political Islam that cannot be wished away.
He named the UK’s industrial-scale rape gangs: a quarter of a million non-Muslim girls abducted, passed around, and discarded, a deliberate demonstration of dominance over the laws of the land.
He exposed the sickest part: police arresting the victims for “public drunkenness” rather than be called racist or Islamophobic.
Then he brought it home to Texas.
“I know you’re in the accommodation phase, but the intimidation phase follows quickly. It’s already happening in cities in Texas.
Child marriage. Honor killings. Don’t tell me it can’t happen here because it’s already happened in Texas.
Beating your wife. Polygamy. All condoned under Sharia.
Political Islam.”
He drove the point home that freedom of conscience does not exist under this system: the penalty for leaving is death.
He cited modern American imams preaching open sedition against the U.S. Constitution.
Then he put the choice squarely on the Council:
“This is your time. This is your moment of truth. This is your time for choosing.
This is your time to choose to honor your oath that starts with the U.S. Constitution.
There is no state cavalry coming to save you. This is your time.”
Congressman Self has been fighting this fight with everything he has to protect Texas from the march of Islamic supremacy.
Tonight he stood in McKinney and spoke for every Texan who still believes the Constitution is not optional.
It is so incredible to watch so many Heroes who have have risen.
Now the leaders must decide whose side they are on.
McKinney City Council the people are watching. Texas - this is the line!
Environmental activists say arctic polar bears are "near extinction.”
It's a myth.
"It's not hard to find out that polar bears are fine," says @LinneaLueken of @HeartlandInst.
Here we debunk myths about that, the bee-pocalypse, increasing wildfires and drought, and more:
Why is @DanaBashCNN making assertions about vaccines?
In 2022, Pfizer signed a multi-year deal making it CNN's exclusive pharmaceutical advertiser. The arrangement raised obvious conflict-of-interest questions given CNN's fawning pandemic coverage and relentless suppression of dissenting voices—all while Pfizer's cash flowed directly into the network's coffers.
Ten things we are so numb to that we are just used to them when instead every citizen and every news outlet in the nation should be screeching with alarm:
1. The Democrat Party is now the party of literal Communists.
2. The Democrat Party is also now the party of literal jihadists.
3. Tens of thousands of jihadists just invaded Spain.
4. New Jersey has tens of thousands of illegal aliens on its voter rolls. This is not rumor, this is fact.
5. We’re not really sure how much the rest of the states are like New Jersey, but it’s probably worse.
6. Gen Z thinks Communism is a good idea because nobody ever taught them about the genocide feature of Communism.
7. The mayor of New York City is deliberately driving for-profit grocery stores out of his city so he can have control over the food supply of his citizens.
8. The WNBA is persecuting its best white heterosexual players in a sort of perverse Jane Crow campaign.
9. The guy who was the architect of the worst public health fiasco in all of our lifetimes has a diary where he confirmed that he and the government lied about basically everything, and he’s going to get away with it.
10. Tucker Carlson and his pals are determined to hand control of the government over to the Democrat Communist Jihadists in a form of cutting off your nose to spite your face.
“I also don't want to use this interview to allow you to say things that aren't entirely true.”
Does she even realize what she is saying? This one sentence captures everything diseased about the fake news. She spends her time spreading falsehoods, while appointing herself the final arbiter of what everyone else is allowed to say. That she opened the interview by announcing this role, without the slightest embarrassment or self-awareness, is just unbelievable. The whole profession is so thoroughly broken and corrupted, and its operatives are so immersed in their own lies, that they cannot even see what they have become.
WOW !!!!! You please have to watch and pass long RFKJ's @RobertKennedyJr epic bash on Dana Bash on CNN.
I’ve never seen roadkill like this televised before.
He turned her into Stuttering John’s mentally ill older sister in a brutal debate where someone finally spoke truth. All these ‘trust the science’ people never
trust the science. They warble on about endless studies that never happened, or worse that they have no idea
what’s the real story behind what was studied. It’s Ivermectin all over again. RFKJ needs to be applauded for going against the grain and telling the truth. For searching out the truth. Not treated the way he’s been treated, time and time again.

I'm not what you'd call a keen observer of the political climate in our country, but I do pay attention, broadly, to what's going on within our two parties. Watching the latest from @billmaher, I was reminded of how we struggle to reconcile our support for an idea we might like, if it’s promoted by a politician we hate. And vice versa. Here though, we have an opportunity - Democrats, in particular - to speak out loudly and clearly against an ideology that has been proven, demonstrably, to be a really bad idea.
It’s alarming to see how quickly communism has been embraced by so many, but it's even more alarming, to see how many have yet to condemn it, in favor of sheltering under a “big tent.” This week, Gavin Newsom dismissed concerns over Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and progressive candidates winning key primaries, stating he would gladly campaign for them. He argued that the party must be in the "addition, not subtraction business" to retake control of Congress.
Not that anyone asked me, but…wow. The candidates that Newsom is referring to here are not subtle. They have clearly articulated precisely what they want, and exactly what they will try to accomplish if they gain power. No borders. No police. No prisons. No Senate. From each according to his needs, from each according to his abilities, and so forth. They are literally quoting Karl Marx, and they are literally on the record as desiring to completely dismantle our government and replace it with actual communism. And the Governor of California says he will campaign on their behalf, if doing so will result in a Congressional win. Truly amazing.
Seems to me, that this is best opportunity Democrats will ever have to make some kind of reasonable appeal to Independents, and those not on board with this administration. This is a chance to affirmatively distance themselves from an ideology that has caused more human suffering than any other scheme dreamt up by man. And yet, they have not.
I understand how unpopular President Trump is in the eyes of many. But if the DSA continues to grow in popularity, and the Democrats actually campaign on their behalf, I think it’ll be the largest political blunder in my lifetime. Unless of course, I’m wrong, and the DSA expands to swallow the Democratic Party, and communism winds up on the ballot. In which case, Ronald Reagan’s warning will haunt us all.
“Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction.”I
The images of illegal third-world migrants storming over the borders of Spain, while their leftist government does nothing about it, are completely insane.
Oh, wait-- this was America's southern border the last time the Democrat Party was in power.
Indiana Fever coach says she “isn’t educated enough from a scientific standpoint” to say if men should be able to play women’s sports. These people are batshit insane.

@MayhemJon68@MoniFunGirl It really sucks that in this day and age of technology, they still haven't offered us a way to turn down or even mute the volume.
Can you imagine SNL mocking the idea of doctors "transitioning" kids? Actually, they did, in the 80s.
REPORTER: "Dr. Hoffritz, can’t you see what you’re doing here? I mean, the 48-51% — they’re not girls, they’re little boys! You have mutilated over 2,000 little boys!”
HOFFITZ: “No! No, they weren’t boys. They were little girls, trapped in little boys’ bodies!"
The Cash for Clunkers program, which Congress passed in June 2009 and burned through its $3 billion budget in under two months, destroyed functional wealth on a national scale, and somehow they called it "stimulus."
The mechanics were simple: trade in a working car, receive up to $4,500 toward a new one, and watch government employees pour sodium silicate into the old engine to make it seize permanently. Around 700,000 vehicles got crushed. These were not rusted-out death traps. The eligibility rules required the trade-in to be drivable and insured. You were watching the state systematically annihilate usable capital because Keynesian demand theory told it that destruction generates recovery. Frederic Bastiat explained why this is wrong in 1850, in an essay short enough to read on your lunch break. Congress ignored it.
The ripple effect hit people the government never mentioned in its press releases. Mechanics lost repair work. Used-car dealers watched their inventory evaporate. Low-income buyers who depend on the sub-$5,000 market faced prices that jumped roughly 10% in the years after the program. Free market economists call this "seen versus unseen." Politicians only showed you the gleaming new Chevy Malibu driving off the lot. They never showed you the single mother in Akron who needed a $3,000 Corolla and found nothing affordable left on the lot.
Even the environmental justification collapsed under basic scrutiny. A 2009 study by Resources for the Future calculated that the program cost between $237 and $365 per ton of carbon dioxide reduced. The voluntary carbon credit market at the time priced a ton around $10 to $20. The government spent up to thirty times the market rate to achieve an environmental outcome the market was already pricing far more efficiently.
This is what central planning always does. It takes your money, destroys real assets, and transfers wealth from the poor to auto manufacturers and their financiers. The program's designers received awards. The Akron mother paid higher prices. The engines sat crushed in junkyards. Nobody in Washington answered for any of it.
