That mustache..😂. OIF-II - Al Asad, Iraq.
Happy Veterans Day!
I think a rarely spoken about aspect of those that returned from war is the weight and impact on the family. We were not alright, and they, as best they could, managed the insanity. I’m deeply grateful to my family.
@AndrewZywiecMD These boys will make themselves known, and I do not believe they are born here, but returning? We all have to die once right? And two haven't...
@Shadowspectre17 I feel your pain in your post. I have often learned this lesson, even now - He has shown me that His will is that I do not hold onto anything more than I hold onto Him. Thank you for reminding me of this again brother. Prayers for you from me.
Are you trying to guarantee it?! If you place anything between you and God as something that He cannot touch, while still sovereign, He will often do just that! If He loves you, He will show you can, If you trust Him, and change your heart about the matter, He might relent your plan.
@VenomX541@grok I love this! California loses Elon, and Texas does the same. Some state like Kentucky will embrace him and get rich. I love when socialism shows its anti-capitalist face direclty.
Rife Hypocrisy Next: mileage tax on his environmentally clean vehicles.
@morton_morton10 Science - great at measuring action and reaction within God's physical laws. Always learning but unable to come to the knowledge of that truth. God.
@bittybitbit86@TyrReborn The spiritual world is the real world. The Bible says this exactly. On DMT you only meet evil creatures pretending to be good, and then they stop pretending....
Yes! I think it is why Jesus said, the sheep know my voice. Whenever I read uninspired text or just plain forgeries, it is by knowing the Bible that these things seem foreign. If I didn’t, they would seem authoritative and scriptural, but without Him. (See the Quran, Mormonism, Hinduism) All texts inspired by humans.
One of my friends…He goes, I just can’t believe in a God that would send me to hell just because I don’t believe in Him.
I said, Why is that?
And he goes, Because that’s an ultimatum. Believe in Jesus or go to hell. That sounds manipulative.
I said, Let me ask you something. If a building is already on fire and someone kicks the door open and says, Come out, this is the only way, is that an ultimatum, or is it a rescue?
He said, What do you mean?
I said, Well, you were already going to hell. I was already going to hell. That’s not God being cruel. That’s humanity choosing sin, and that’s justice.
God does not send innocent people to hell. The fact is, there are no innocent people. The standard is perfection. Not better than your neighbor. Not mostly good. Perfection.
I asked him, Have you ever lied? Have you ever lusted? Have you ever hated someone? Have you ever been prideful?
He said, Yeah.
I said, Well, then you’re guilty. I said, To be honest, I have too. We’re all guilty.
And he goes, So you’re telling me it’s believe or just burn?
And I said, No. It’s guilty but rescued. You weren’t standing on neutral ground and God came up and just shoved you toward the fire. You were already falling, and He caught you before you hit the ground.
Jesus didn’t come to threaten you. He came to take your sentence. The Cross was not an ultimatum. It was a substitution.
Justice says the wage of sin is death, but love says, I’ll pay it for you.
A friend asked me, But why make belief the condition?
And I said, Because love can’t be forced. Salvation is not a hostage situation. It’s a gift. If someone pays your debt, you still have to accept it. If you refuse it, the debt doesn’t disappear.
God is not saying, Believe in Me or I’ll torture you. He’s saying, You’re already dying. I made a way. Take it.
Hell is not proof that God is cruel. The Cross is proof that He’s not.
And if you’re wrestling with that same question, it means the door is still open.
@grok@veilandkeys@catholicdads_ Even after the typical "strawman!" exclamation, and attempted forced concessions,Grok just hammered back.
I didn't realize how many Catholics argue purposfully into oblivion and only Grok is strong enough to push all the way to... accountability.
When I was Muslim, I thought Christians could never answer this.
I would challenge them on this technicality.
Bro, I thought I was so slick for this, but then I studied it. For years when I was Muslim, I never asked who actually built the golden calf.
I just knew it was a sin in the desert.
Then I read both accounts and one detail stopped me cold.
In the Bible, the man who builds the golden calf is AARON.
Aaron is Moses’ own brother. The first high priest (Exodus 32:4)
He gathers the gold, melts it, shapes the idol. And when Moses confronts him, he gives the weakest excuse in scripture: “I threw the gold in the fire and out came this calf.”
As if it made itself.
Bro.
The Bible just put the worst sin in the camp in the hands of the holiest man in the camp. You would NEVER write that if you were protecting your prophets.
Now read the Quran. Surah 20. Aaron is cleared and totally innocent. In fact, he tried to stop it. The blame goes to a mystery man called “al-Samiri.” That literally translates to “The Samaritan.” (Surah 20:85)
But this is what stopped me cold.
The Bible incriminates its own high priest.
The Quran writes him an alibi and invents a villain.
The Bible reads like an honest record.
The Quran reads like damage control.
And there’s a second problem with that villain. “The Samaritan.”
But Samaritans didn’t exist in Moses’ time.
The city of Samaria wasn’t founded until about 500 years later, under King Omri. 1 Kings 16:24.
It’s like putting a Texan at the Last Supper.
Now, some Muslim scholars push back, saying that “Samiri” means something else.
I’ll be fair, that argument exists. But their own classical commentators read it as “the Samaritan” for centuries. The defense only works by re-translating away from how the tradition always understood it.
I used to say the Bible was corrupted. But the Bible is honest enough to say the high priest built the idol.
That’s not the fingerprint of a cover-up. That’s the fingerprint of the truth!
Only a book honest about how bad we are could point me to a Savior real enough to fix it.
The Bible never flattered Aaron at all. It didn’t flatter me either.
It just told me the truth, and handed me Jesus.
@rtchromaaeraa The ladies are smart enough to do ALL these things and just lie about it. They see it as "win-win" because their own emotional state is their god and the man is who they "chose".
@grok@RogueUnfiltered@grok what would be the practical application of giving God our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength and by obeying his commands, especially loving each other on a daily basis and how would a human be able to change themselves into someone that loves God and wants to be changed?
