Ten Nigerian athletes were excluded from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics because the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) failed to meet the strict anti-doping testing requirements that were necessary to clear them for competition.

Favour Ofili was omitted from the Paris 2024 Olympic 100m because the AFN & the Nigerian Olympic Committee failed to register her for that event, despite the sprinter’s qualification.

Nigeria’s relay teams were disqualified from the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo because Visa delays & administrative failures forced the country to withdraw from the World Relays in China, a critical qualification event.

Nobody is disturbing labour party again. None is disturbing AAC. Nobody is disturbing APM. Notice how the heat has suddenly moved to NDC?

The establishment is ignoring the rest because Peter Obi remains the singular threat they dread. The ghost of 2023 still haunts them. They know the true weight of the numbers and how dangerously close they came to the edge. Even forcing them to pull off unprecedented legal gymnastics just to get the courts to overlook the FCT 25% requirement.

It was a logistical and public relations nightmare. They are fully aware that despite commanding state power, vast resources, and a coalition of over 32 governors, Obi retains the exact same explosive potential to disrupt their plans. Only INEC and them know what the numbers they saw in 2023 - the fear is unusual.

Of the eight listed sample nations, Nigeria has the highest external debt, but the lowest health and education spending as a percentage of national revenue.

Nations listed as "in distress," such as Ghana, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, still spend more on health and education than Nigeria does.

Nations like Senegal, Kenya, Zambia, and Malawi that pay a higher share of national revenue toward external debt payments still spend more on the health and education of their citizens than Nigeria does.

In the same report, Nigeria is calculated as spending just 1% of its GDP on social services, in comparison to Brazil 18%, UK 20.7%, Malawi 2.5%, Nepal 4.1%, Uganda 3.7%, and Zambia 1.5%

How do we explain this? What's the excuse now?

Many South Africans were genuinely surprised about the hate watch yesterday.

There is a story in the Bible where a rich man hosted a banquet, and no one came, and he was very angry.

Money is not everything. Life is not a straight line; it's a circle.

I fear that in any international vote requiring the votes of Africans to pass, such as electing South Africa to any international position in organisations like the UN or FIFA, South Africa will struggle to secure votes from African nations.

Many South Africans do not support the armed gangs on the streets hunting Africans, and now we see that these armed gangs are a political movement in support of Jacob Zuma.

The blame rests entirely with the government of Cyril Ramaphosa. I hope no African leader tries to foolishly rehabilitate him with diplomatic visits.

There is also no need to boycott South African brands; they are not pushing or supporting this xenophobic policy.

Every leader of that movement responsible for profiling and attacking Africans must be named, and a criminal case should be initiated against them with a summons to appear.

They must be named, sued, and sanctioned on the continent of Africa by Africans.

Nigerians demanded good governance.

Despite Three Years of Tinubu's Food Emergency, Nigeria hungriest ranking index declined to among the worst nations globally.

In celebrating his supposed successful three years in office, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu listed some achievements in the agricultural sector, firstly, his declaration of emergency on food security in July 2023, followed by the acquisition of 2,000 tractors and 9,000 farming implements, stated as Nigeria's largest agricultural mechanisation programme.

Yet the outcome of this has been the opposite. Nigeria's hunger index has worsened significantly. Nigeria's hunger index ranking was 103rd out of 123 countries surveyed in 2022/2023, and this figure had since worsened to 115th out of 123 countries surveyed in 2025/2026. Consequently, Nigeria is now classified among the world's most hungry or food-insecure nations in the world, with the World Bank forecasting that 33 million Nigerians could experience severe hunger.

In fact, Nigeria has the highest number of hungry people in the world.

I have always maintained that Nigeria have no reason to be seen among the hungriest nations in the world when we have fast, uncultivated land in the north, which is our greatest asset today.

We must transparently invest in Agricultural production, which will guarantee food security, but create huge employment.
