Word of Wisdom News Flash 🚨
Let's have some LDX meltdowns, shall we? And the Word of Wisdom vegetarian fanatics are going to lose their minds.
2025 D&C:
11 Every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof; all these to be used with prudence and thanksgiving.
12 Yea, flesh also of beasts and of the fowls of the air, I, the Lord, have ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving; nevertheless they*** are to be used sparingly;
The verse split between vs. 11 and vs. 12 is VERY, VERY misleading. they*** refers to both herb, fruit and flesh to be used sparingly. In other words don't overeat or waste it. (See original copies of the D&C - you'll see it immediately.)
13 And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used,👈only in times of winter, or of cold, or famine.
In 1921, someone inserted a comma in verse 89:13 and no one knows who did that. It completely changes the verse's meaning. Not only does the "only be used in times of famine, etc. NOT refer to meat - it's in reference to all the different grains and which are better for animals MOST of the time, unless we are desperate.
🚨News Flash: Doctrine and Covenants 89:11-13 does not say to use meat only in times of famine and winter.
The whole thing is a referendum mostly on grain choices.
Read it again.
Read the original written version of the Doctrine and Covenants AND all published versions until 1921.
The way our version is split up by verses, further adds to the confusion and makes it seem like meat is a separate and main topic. Instead, it's part of a list.
Before 1921, it says:
And again, verily I say unto you, all wholesome herbs God hath ordained for the constitution, nature, and use of man. Every herb in the season thereof, and every fruit in the season thereof. All these to be used with prudence and thanksgiving. Yea, flesh also of beasts and of the fowls of the air, I the Lord hath ordained for the use of man with thanksgiving. Nevertheless, they*** are to be used sparingly; and it is pleasing unto me, that they should not be used only in times of winter or of cold, or famine.
Note how keeping the paragraph together makes it obvious what they*** refers to.
The inserted comma in our version of 89:13 is literally false doctrine. The verse splits add confusion, not clarification.
[The Lord's comments about famine and hunger refer to grains you would normally feed animals are okay in extenuating circumstances. - Yes, you read that right.]
All grain** is ordained for the use of man, and of beasts, to be the staff of life, not only for man, but for the beasts of the field, and the fowls of heaven, and all wild animals that run or creep on the earth: and these** hath God made for the use of man only in times of famine, and excess of hunger.
3 All grain** is good for the food of man, as also the fruit of the vine, that which yieldeth fruit, whether in the ground or above the ground. Nevertheless wheat for man, and corn for the ox, and oats for the horse, and rye for the fowls, and for swine, and for all beasts of the field, and barley for all useful animals, and for mild drinks; as also other grain.
And all saints who remember to keep and do these sayings, walking in obedience to the commandments, shall receive health in their navel, and marrow to their bones and shall find wisdom, and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures; and shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint: and I the Lord give unto them a promise, that the destroying angel shall pass by them, as the children of Israel, and not slay them: Amen.
This pushes hard against cultural and traditional teachings - and we'll see members freak over this, and refuse to consider anything but what they heard their seminary teacher and parents say.
For the rest of you, I thought you would like to know.
Major H/T to @carbonmfg who sent me on a treasure hunt.
PS, I checked the original hand-written version too. Our current published version is in error.
To be clear:
1.) This is NOT an annual fee. It’s a one-time fee that applies only to the petition.
2.) Those who already hold H-1B visas and are currently outside of the country right now will NOT be charged $100,000 to re-enter.
H-1B visa holders can leave and re-enter the country to the same extent as they normally would; whatever ability they have to do that is not impacted by yesterday’s proclamation.
3.) This applies only to new visas, not renewals, and not current visa holders.
It will first apply in the next upcoming lottery cycle.
@LargeInStature_ People on here are choosing to read into what you’ve been saying in the worst way. It’s one of the reasons I don’t post from this account anymore. I get what you’re saying though and totally agree.
@LargeInStature_ Free speech doesn’t allow for incitement to violence and the media and leftist politicians are skirting the line constantly. You can’t spew the hate that they do then be shocked when someone deranged takes action.
