We all know how she took umbrage to people protesting in ‘Aarey’, engaged troll armies and accused activists of harassing her when she was a public servant, whose entitlement was such that she didn’t want emails coming to her official ID.

Ashwini Bhide was rewarded for opening the doors to commercial the contiguous Aarey-SGNP Forest and now in the BMC, her priority is builder’s interest and not that of the citizens.

The no of trees that have fallen in the last 24 hours, proves without doubt, something that all Mumbaikars know- that pre-monsoon work didn’t take place and the BJP governed BMC’s claims were only on paper.

Appalled at some pro-BJP handles suggested that trees being uprooted are ‘end-of-life’ events and not due to the BJP governed BMC’s incompetence.

Navin Prasanna (35) allegedly stabbed several times by an unidentified man near Mahim station after an accidental bump cracked the accused's phone.

Comes 48 hours after Mayank Lohar (22) was killed in a dispute aboard a Nalasopara-bound local train.

Two men stabbed in two days over a train seat and a cracked phone screen, and we're still calling it the "spirit of Mumbai...??"

Maybe the city isn't resilient... maybe it's just exhausted & too scared to ask why a petty quarrel keeps ending in a knife. 😢
