@rargulati There are some problems that Coinlist does not compete with other exchanges: the number of trading pairs, poor liquidity, deposit and withdrawal fees, deposit time I must say is very long, deposit and withdrawal channels are not diverse, players are attached to each other.
@DAppNode Your node has access to a chain key locally, which it uses to sign for node operations such as closing payment channels or redeeming tickets
Beyond that, your node needs approval from your HOPR Safe, almost like a 2FA, which you can approve of within the new Staking UI ✍️

@DAppNode So, the obvious next step is a compartmentalization of your staked funds from the node 💡
The separation of keys introduced in Dufour achieve exactly this
The funds you stake are separated in a smart contract only accessible through your admin key 🔑

@DAppNode And this can happen even without malicious intent!
Maybe the node management strategy you’ve chosen happens to drain all your funds by opening too many channels 😩
Your node having unlimited access to all your funds is just suboptimal!

Most node operators know that your HOPR node needs to manage HOPR tokens in order to fund payment channels - obviously!
But despite best practices, some evil maid might get access to your @DappNode

The launch of HOPR cover traffic and SafeStaking mark a major milestone, as node runners will now be paid @Safe-ly for their services directly through the HOPR protocol 💰
But why does HOPR need SafeStaking? And how does it protect your funds?
Here’s a tl;dr
1/7
@DAppNode Our module is based on Zodiak by @GnosisGuild and can be used by other staking infrastructure projects to secure their own users’ funds 👀🟡
Think about @TheGraph@gelatonetwork@tornadocash and many more securing their nodes in a Safe-r way
5/9
@DAppNode We do that by introducing permissions & separation of your node’s keys from multisig owner(s) of your HOPR Safe that manages the majority of funds
4/9
@DAppNode SafeStaking by HOPR addresses exactly that concern:
It separates the complexity of operating a node from the economic risk of losing funds
3/9
At HOPR, we believe in decentralization
Decentralization means that web3 node infrastructure is operated by YOU, e.g. by running a @DappNode from home
But are YOU really sure that nobody could ever get access to the funds put at stake on your little node…? 🤔
