Republicans have the majority in the Senate and House and they're telling you they cannot rein Trump in, so stop giving them power. They're telling you they refuse to use it.
Gov. @AndyBeshearKY: Rand Paul is trying to hold Anthony Fauci in contempt when he actually showed up in person and made a verbal statement. But Rand Paul won't call on Mitch McConnell who has also been fully absent to even do a video for people to show he's okay. So 85-year-old Fauci should be held in contempt and jailed, but 84-year-old Mitch McConnell gets a complete pass after not showing up to work for 7 weeks?
Unless you held your personal phone up to a dying patient so they could gasp “I’m sorry…I love you…goodbye…” to their family on a group call you organized, you do not judge Fauci.
Unless you did the same for a patient who was already unresponsive and nearing death so their loved ones could say the things they never said and you were never meant to hear, you do not judge Fauci.
Unless you rationed oxygen, medical equipment and life-saving medications, because your top-rate, first-world country, and its self-aggrandizing medical system failed, you do not judge Fauci.
Unless you’ve lost three patients in 45 minutes going from one bedside to the next so they did not die alone, praying the prayers a priest was meant to say because they could not come, you do not judge Fauci.
Unless you’ve zipped a human being in a bag knowing no one else would ever gaze upon that face again, and placed it on a table in an office or on the floor of a refrigerated trailer meant for sides of beef, you do not judge Fauci.
Unless you hold a degree in nursing or medicine, or epidemiology, or public health, or at the very least can connect the dots, the very simple dots, you do not judge Fauci.
For if you lived and sit in judgment of decisions you did not make and do not understand, decisions for which you were never considered, and never would be, you are a fool and look dumb before humanity and God.
And may God help you, because you clearly cannot help yourself.

#BREAKING: Talarico: “The president of the United States just said that I insulted Jesus. You wanna know what insults Jesus? Kicking the sick off their healthcare while cutting taxes for billionaires. You know what insults Jesus? Deporting the stranger and separating babies from their mothers. You know what insults Jesus? Bombing innocent school children in #Iran and sending our brave men and women off to die in another forever war. You know what insults Jesus? Covering up the #Epstein files and then refusing to prosecute a single person in them.”😳
Lawrence O’Donnell: “All of us owe our gratitude to Anthony Fauci and many of us may owe our lives to Anthony Fauci. Anthony Fauci owes nothing to Republicans in the US Senate. Sometimes news stories come down to a very simple right and wrong and this is one of them. Anthony Fauci is right and every one of those Republican Senators is very, very wrong”
Imagine the amount of propaganda it took to convince millions of people that healthcare, food assistance, social programs, clean water, clean air, good wages, housing, equal rights, diversity and a healthy planet for all people was somehow a threat to America and to Christianity.
My Republican colleagues love to accuse Democrats of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
But the real Trump derangement is from Republicans, who swallow all of their pride to satiate the insecure, narcissist in the White House who needs to have everything named after him.
Sad, really.
BREAKING: A 12-year-old girl scout named Zoe on a White House tour today reportedly enraged Donald Trump by asking, "If the only election fraud happens when you're the president, shouldn't you resign and let Obama or Biden run the elections cause you say 2016 and 2024 were fair?"
HOLY CRAP!
The documents Trump just released following his speech show that Russians worked with American officials to advance stories about Burisma and Joe Biden being corrupt.
Someone is going to get fired tonight for accidentally allowing this one to be declassified.
Kentucky Republicans have tried to take away Governor Beshear’s ability to appoint Mitch McConnell’s replacement. Beshear says he’s considering ignoring the state legislature and appointing a Democrat to replace McConnell anyway.
He believes the law is unconstitutional, that Kentucky’s constitution gives him the authority, and that he’s prepared to test the GOP on it.
This is exactly how Democrats should be fighting.
Buttigieg: So let me ask you a version of the question that I asked everybody when I was running around this state eight years ago, when nobody could say my name right, which is: What’s it going to be like the first time the sun comes up over this country and the current president has permanently left the political scene?
It’s an appealing thing to remember that that day will come, but it also represents a huge challenge. Because what do we do then? Then what?
The answer to that is what we’ve got to hold in our minds right now to campaign and to win—and, most importantly, to govern. Because we need to immediately get to work to build something better.
Like a political system where everyone’s vote counts the same, and the person who gets the most votes wins the election. It looks like a Supreme Court that is legitimate and trustworthy in the eyes of the American people. It looks like a Congress composed of representatives who actually represent the people they serve, capable of standing up to abuses from other parts of the government. And it means state and federal governments capable of standing up for people’s rights.
The right to live your life as you see fit, so long as you’re not hurting anyone else. The right to carry a sign or write an op-ed or criticize your government. The right to make your own health care decisions. The right to be who you are and love who you love and raise your family in peace.
That’s what it looks like. And it’s not too much to ask. And it’s not too much to ask for public integrity.
WOW! James Talarico just packed the Plano Event Center in Collin County—blew the roof off Ken Paxton's own backyard—with 4,000+ people, standing room only, and lines wrapped around the building.
This is the county that launched Paxton's career, the same county where his securities fraud mugshot was taken 15 minutes up the road, and the same county Republicans called "unflippable."
And a Democrat just brought the house down in it.
Talarico looked at that crowd and said what we're all thinking: "They're afraid of this movement. They're afraid of this crowd in Plano, Texas."
Damn right they are.
Paxton's out here calling him "Talafreakco" like a middle school bully while Talarico's selling "I'm a Talafreako" shirts and outraising every Senate campaign in Texas history.
First quarter: $28 million, more than double Beto and Colin Allred combined.
Real men don't lie and cheat their way through life. They don't scam their own friends for a quick buck. They don't serve themselves—they serve others. Ken Paxton has escaped accountability for 4,000+ days. But accountability is coming November 3.
Democrats, pay attention. This is what it looks like when you run on corruption, not away from it. This is what it looks like when you fight in their backyard and win the crowd.
The suburbs are shifting. Collin County is shifting. Texas is shifting.
Retrumplican crook politicians don't own you. You own them.
LFG TEXAS!!!
After Scott Pelley's firing, Trump accused him of not caring about the United States, called him "stupid and crooked."
Scott was asked to react to these remarks.
His response is what actual patriotism looks like.
