Hello, Moon. It’s great to be back.
Here’s a taste of what the Artemis II astronauts photographed during their flight around the Moon. Check out more photos from the mission: https://t.co/rzM1P0QbOl
Weather balloons are critical information, and this is why so many of us continue to scream from the rooftops about cutting data and research from NOAA.
@VORTEXJeff San Antonio AFD's were all over this also. This is why we should be listening and funding the NWS properly and need better science education for the public. We have the tools to stop this kind of thing from happening right now and still this stuff happens.
The entire state of Texas as photographed by NASA from space, 2018. This is a fascinating image to look at if you're at all familiar with Texas geography. Not only can you see all of the major cities but even towns like Temple-Killeen, Midland-Odessa ... even small towns like Monahans, Alpine, Marfa etc.. The Eagle Ford can also clearly be seen. But what blows me away is the lights in the area around Pecos. Those lights aren't quite as intense as they are in Midland-Odessa (immediately to the east of Pecos) but the area is at least as big, perhaps bigger. Amazing. Fortunately, with the exception of Presidio, the Big Bend remains dark. May it ever be so!
The @NHC_Atlantic is *really good* at their job. Comparison between NHC advisory #004 from 9/23 (when storm was "just" a depression) and this morning's advisory #023A. Can't really do much better than that -- center of forecast track and fix are w/in eye wall diameter distance
The dominance of Oklahoma Softball is incredible. My opinion, their dominance in the sport is greater than the peak of Alabama and Notre Dame football and Duke,UNC basketball
