Some will criticize today's U.S.-Lebanon-Israel framework agreement or try to paint it in a certain way. Some buffoons will burn tires or ride into Beirut on their motorcycles thumping their chests. The Iranian regime & Hezbollah will try to act as spoilers & that is to be expected.
But that cannot take away from the significance of today's historic agreement, which is that against all odds, as the Iranian regime actively tried to undermine this process, the parties found a way to unite and forge ahead. That is a kind of spirit and commitment that you can't force or fabricate, and it will be a critical part of this process as it continues.

One of the most thought provoking speeches I've seen in a while.
@Miss_Snuffy on how raising a generation to see the world through oppressors and the oppressed is changing the West.
If you don't have time, bookmark it. It's worth every second.

The only thing the excellent and honest @SpencerGuard doesn’t do is provide you with a sharp rebuke to your constant interruptions and misleading questions. The numbers are plain and as simple as can be in a modern war. The @IDF has the best ratio on record in modern warfare, even when you rely on Hamas’ inflated numbers. @piersmorgan should stop peddling lies, propaganda and libel against the only democracy in the ME that is keeping jihadists at bay.
Democratic Socialist Daraliza Avila Chevalier is a founder of CUAD, her organization states they are “fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization.”
She is the Democratic nominee for NY-13 and is almost certain to win her seat in November
New York Mayor @NYCMayor Mamdani cited the IDF strike on Muhammad Washah today as though Israel killed an innocent journalist. At this point, claiming Washah was not a Hamas combatant is willful ignorance.
@mperelman@vali_nasr@FRANCE24 But the military option worked no matter how Iranian's and their supporters spin it. The nuclear program is dead. The ballistic program is dead. Yes they can restart it but at what cost? The US, for now, does not want boots on the ground and that is why we have negotiations.

@tparsi At the end trump will get a better deal than Obama. That is the point. If Obama was though on IRI when it was necessary, there would be no Gaza war and all your fake tears for the Palestinians
I am a lifelong Democrat who served in the Clinton administration and as a United Nations Human Rights Officer in Cambodia.
As a New Yorker, let me say this loud and clear:
Zohran Mamdani is an extreme bigot who is cynically stoking hostility toward New York’s Jewish community for political gain.
His words and actions are aggressively inciting violence and will lead directly to unnecessary deaths.
Israel remains firmly committed to an immediate ceasefire. At 11:30 this morning, Israel halted all offensive operations; Hezbollah and Iranian claims to the contrary are bold lies.
If Hezbollah honors the agreement and ceases its hostilities, they will be met with quiet.
Israel wants our neighbor to the north, Lebanon, with which we have relations dating back to King Solomon and King Hiram, to prosper and enjoy democratic freedoms, and like any normal country will never compromise on our security.
This will only happen when Hezbollah, a murderous Iranian proxy, is destroyed.
The end of Hezbollah will mark the beginning of a beautiful peace between our two countries.
Israel is in the security zone in southern Lebanon to rid the area of Hezbollah and dismantle its terror infrastructure.
We will remain there until that mission is accomplished.
The people of Lebanon deserve a future free from Hezbollah's grip, and a real, genuine peace between our two countries remains possible.
The relationship between the U.S. and Israel is not transactional, it is a long and vital partnership, but the next time you hear the tired question of "What does the U.S. get for $3.8 Billion to Israel," answer simply - RETURNS.
R – Research, Innovation, and the Combat Laboratory
Access to one of the world's most active laboratories for military innovation, where new technologies, concepts, and operational methods are developed, tested, and refined under real combat conditions. Combined with one of the world's leading defense technology and startup ecosystems, this environment generates technological advancements, operational insights, and innovation that would be difficult, expensive, and in many cases impossible to replicate through peacetime experimentation, exercises, simulations, or war games.
E – Economic Benefits
American jobs and manufacturing supported through purchases of U.S.-made military equipment, while strengthening the U.S. defense industrial base through joint production, co-development, and missile defense cooperation for the benefit of the U.S. military and American national security.
T – Technology
Access to military technologies refined in combat, from active protection systems and missile defense to counter-drone capabilities, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies.
U – Unique Understanding of Modern Warfare
Battlefield lessons drawn from one of the world's most active conflict environments, providing insights into urban warfare, tunnel warfare, missile defense, drones, battlefield medicine, artificial intelligence, and modern combat. These lessons help the United States adapt and prepare without having to learn them first through American casualties, American mistakes, or American wars.

JD Vance likes to threaten Israel by pointing out how much of our weapons come from the US, but he completely ignores history. This dependency was manufactured by Washington. What does he want us to do, buy our jets from China? Or maybe he wants Israel to build its own?
Let's remind him that back in the 1980s, Israel was developing the Lavi, a fighter jet that would easily be one of the best in the world today. It was the US that pressured and forced Israel to cancel the project because American defense contractors didn't want the competition. You can't force us to shut down our independent fighter jet program to protect US corporate profits, and then turn around and complain that we rely on US jets. If Israel has to fully decouple and build its own platforms again, we can. But don't pretend this dependency wasn't your choice.
