BREAKING: Iran claims it targeted a U.S. military drone over the Strait of Hormuz, warning that any further American movements through the strategic waterway will be met with a “firm response.”

The IRGC says its naval forces are closely monitoring the Strait and insists the waterway remains under Iranian control.

Tehran is demanding that the U.S. leave the region and end its military operations, while warning that Iranian forces will continue responding to what they consider hostile activity.

It turns out Iran didn't shoot a short-range anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBMs) at the USS George Washington and an accompanying destroyer escort but rather medium-range hypersonic "carrier killer" Qassem Bassir ASBMs that can reach speeds of Mach 5-8.

This is the first time in US history that we know of that a US near peer competitor has fired a hypersonic missile of any kind against a US warship. The US Navy has very little defense against hypersonic missiles and so these Iranian hypersonic ASBMs pose a deadly threat to US aircraft carriers and their escorts.

If even one or two hypersonic missiles hit one of our carriers and it caught fire and was forced to withdraw from the region smouldering it would be a massive blow to US prestige. That is something Iran could do at any time whenever it chooses to do so if Trump fooolishly decides to keep escalating his illegal, unconstitutional imperial war of aggression against Iran.

I was unfamiliar with the "girl dad" phenomena but having looked into, it's clear what's going on:

1. Men seeking the validation from their daughters that they should be getting from their wives.

2. This puts their daughters into roughly the same position as E-girls, OF girls, and so on.

3. The father is abandoning his responsibility to parent his daughter in favor of basking in the affection that she doles out when he spoils her.

The man in question most likely mirrors this dynamic with all women in his life but it's most poisonous and repulsive when done to one's own child.

4. The "girl dad" problem is, I suspect, the result of men who never learn to say "no" to women at all. They're socialized to always seek women's approval and they simply transfer this to their own daughter which is emotionally incestuous.

While it doesn't correspond to actual sexual abuse, it certainly invites revulsion, albeit milder.

My issue with the women now piping up saying to stop grouping women because “its not ALL women”

1. How does it feel? Men have been labeled for decades as a group and women didn’t give a shit.

2. You may not agree with it NOW, but I didn’t see many speaking up against all the steps that brought us here.

Women allowed this, we all will be judged for it (and yes, that includes me)

And to some degree, I assume there will be consequences. Not legally, but in the day to day.

Women need to hold other women accountable, we expect men to do this and yet turn a blind eye or play coy when it’s women.

The judgment is understandable. I don’t fault men’s response to the obviously imbalanced power/responsibility we have going on here.

I hope it’s a wake up call
