I've been writing about controlled dissent from the very outset of CJP, and today their laundry is out for the world to witness.
In a tyrannical democracy (the illusion of it), the state needs some sort of dissent to thrive, not full-blown dissent but controlled dissent, because when dissent is also controlled, there isn't anything or anyone to dethrone the state. Controlled dissent can be spotted by how the state reacts to it. In a tyrannical democracy, the state will curb dissent through its state machinery, as it did with the protests of Congress or even with the likes of Neha Bora. The protesters will be arrested, will be subjected to violence and will also be abused; that's when you understand the state is threatened. Rahul Gandhi was arrested and was made to bleed within an hour of his protest outside the PM's residence. Neha Bora was arrested and assaulted. You know who hasn't been arrested or even faced the slightest of the state's wrath? The so-called Messiahs.
Protests against the state vs individual:
Issues like SIR or even the paper leaks are not associated with an individual but with a whole system that's controlled by masters. Protests against the state don't pin it on individuals but on the state machinery itself, as RG did in his press conference about the Indian Express expose of SIR. Meanwhile, the controlled dissenters will pin it on a specific individual. The idea is to give the populace one villain—who is not the master but the pawn—so when the controlled dissenters pin the pawn as the primary enemy, the masters can get away with it easily while also giving a sense of achievement to the larger populace when the pawn is removed.
In simple terms, the status quo is maintained with a sacrificial lamb. The pattern is more than evident in paper leaks too. Ask yourself a simple question: Have the paper leaks been completely neutralized? Have the exams become clean as a whistle? The answer to both questions is a big "No", but the majority don't talk about it anymore except for RG's Chhatron Ki Goonj. Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation has given a sense of achievement to the populace while the status quo is preserved, all because the controlled dissenters pinned it on an individual and not the state itself. Now, the controlled dissenters are pinning it on Gyanesh Kumar. Tomorrow, he might resign, but would the problem of vote theft be solved? Absolutely not, but the controlled dissenters will celebrate it as a victory and derail the whole movement—that's the plot.
Gyanesh must go; there's no question about it, but the dissent doesn't end there. SIR needs to be reversed, and judicial reviews of SIR applicants should be fast-tracked. Of all these three, which one do you think would hurt the state less or doesn't hurt the state at all?
In a democracy, anyone can protest, anyone can dissent against the regime or even should dissent against the regime but beware of those who end up helping the state in the name of dissent because that derails the democracy itself.
Bonus: Look out for how conveniently Modi or Amit Shah's name is not being mentioned at all.
Let the political and legal debates over Special Intensive Revision continue.
My unsolicited advice to voters left out of the final electoral roll is this: your right to vote under Article 326 is a constitutional right—and a continuing one.
No one is going to come to your rescue, least of all a BLO or BLA. Take the initiative to safeguard this valuable right.
@yespunjab
BJP is asking why Rahul Gandhi didn’t write about Captain Smit Machchhar.
Maybe because Rahul Gandhi was busy standing with the people of Balaghat, where tribal children lost their lives due to the negligence of the Madhya Pradesh BJP government.
How many posts has Modi ji written for the deaths of Balaghat’s tribal children?
Modi ji’s priority may be Israeli people and those who saved them. Rahul Gandhi’s priority is the people of India.
For the past few days, I’ve been calling out @abhijeet_dipke and his gang for holding a separate protest call. I’ve been slammed for it. I’ve also been supported. But I have 1 simple question for every Indian here today..
What exactly am I saying that is wrong?
I am not saying protests should happen only in one city. Mumbai can protest. Delhi can protest. Every state can and should protest because this is not a small matter it is about snatching and robbing our rights away from us.
But why can’t they all unite under one nationwide call to fight vote chori and protect our democracy?
Neha Bhora has been protesting at Jantar Mantar every day. Congress workers , Youth Congress and other opposition leaders, workers and activists have been on the ground fighting for the same cause. Yet where is the coverage?
Why is Abhijit Dipke’s call getting highlighted while people actually protesting every single day are barely shown?
Why does one protest get permission, a stage and extensive media coverage, while others are detained, dragged away or simply ignored?
And please don’t tell me, The media just isn’t covering them.
Then why is the media covering one and not the others? What explains that difference?
Even in Delhi, the coverage was largely about AAP leaders being detained, while countless ordinary people actually fighting on the ground remained invisible.
My Question is simple... If the cause is the same, why are we creating separate calls instead of one united nationwide movement like how our freedom fighters did???
Ek nagrik hone ke naate, humein ekjut hokar un forces ko challenge karna chahiye jo hamari democracy ki jadon ko khokhla kar rahe hain. Lekin yahan bhi divide rule ho raha hai, imagine protest calls mein bhi.
And another question...
Everyone keeps saying Gyanesh Kumar must go.
Fine. But what changes when he goes? Someone else will come in his place. If the system itself remains unchanged, how does removing one individual solve the problem?
Jad ko address karna zaroori hai.
So tell me, what exactly am I asking that is wrong?
Why am I being slammed for asking for asking.... ONE UNITED FIGHT, ONE COMMON CALL and accountability for the System ?
Is AAP getting uncomfortable because I’m asking these questions? Or is the RSS/BJP IT cell uncomfortable because I’m questioning a narrative they would rather nobody question?
I genuinely want an answer.
If we are fighting to save democracy, then why are we fighting each other instead of fighting together?
#VoteChori #SaveDemocracy #UnitedWeStand #Democracy
I am joining the Congress party today with immense pride because I want back the Delhi I grew up in. I want the green, clean, progressive and safe Delhi that was such an important part of my growing-up years.
After more than a decade of experience in Indian politics, I truly believe that only the Congress can make this happen. If there is one leader who is authentic, it is Rahul Gandhi. He is resilient.
It is important that we all come together.

If 'left out' voters can re-enrol by simply filing a Form 6, why was this not pointed out to the Supreme Court when it was hearing the West Bengal S.I.R. case?
Lakhs of voters were excluded, from the electoral rolls in West Bengal without due process
The Supreme Court ordered constitution of tribunals to hear Appeals. Lakhs of Appeals were filed
The judges toiled for six months. They were able to dispose of approximately 1,26,000 Appeals. 91-93% of Appeals were allowed and the names restored to the rolls
Was all this a waste?
If re-enrolment can be done by simply filing a Form 6, it appears that the West Bengal exercise was a complete waste of time and money
Crores of rupees were spent in excluding 13,30,00,000 names. Now crores of rupees will be spent on re-enrolling the 'left out' voters
Who is responsible?
Log detain ho rahe hain, unhe push aur pull kiya ja raha hai, ground par struggle ho raha hai, lekin media coverage? Almost nothing. Everyone is asking where is congress sadly media isn't covering congress who has been facing beating n detention.. Aur aaj CJP ka ek din ka protest hota hai, toh suddenly @apnarajeevnigam , @AzmiShabana #NaseeruddinShah, @VishalDadlani jaise bade names support mein nazar aate hain. Why.. Why didn't you stand by the opposition since 5 days??
Agar aap sach mein desh ke hith mein aur people ke liye lad rahe ho, toh phir @CJP_2029,@abhijeet_dipke@SauravDassss aur celebratity jihone aaj stage share kiye. Woh sab kahan teh??? Yeh Opposition ke saath milkar kyun nahi ladte? Youth Congress in Mumbai pichhle do din se ground par protest kar raha thi. We had names like atul Kulkarni and priya malik stand by them but where were these big names.. ???Aap us waqt kyun nahi aaye? Jantar Mantar par Opposition already khada hai wahi jaakar saath kyun nahi khade hue?
Alag platform, alag protest, alag visibility isse Opposition ki united fight dilute hi hoti hai.
Mera simple sawaal hai: Where is the unity?
Agar aap sach Mein desh ke liye khade hai, tho Opposition ko united dekhna chahte ho, toh Opposition ko divide karke nahi, saath khade hokar lado. Yahi desh ke hith mein hoga.
I don't understand why have these people divided the protest.
Congratulations to Sardar Pargat Singh on his appointment as Punjab Congress Chief.
As Education minister, @PargatSOfficial ensured Punjab Govt schools get to the top in country, a former Indian Hockey Team captain, Pargat Singh is a team man and will ensure unity in the state.
Congress will emerge victorious in upcoming Punjab elections.
#WATCH | Delhi | On meeting with Congress central leadership, Congress MP Amarinder Singh Raja Warring says, "...I met my leader, Rahul Gandhi. I answered the questions he asked about Punjab and shared my thoughts. He showed great affection. After that meeting, my wife and I came straight here to Gurudwara Bangla Sahib to offer 'Ardas' (prayer)... A tenure can be long or short, but it should be one that people remember. My tenure as a minister was exactly that kind—memorable—and one should be grateful for what one receives. I am satisfied that, after a 4.5-year tenure as State President, whatever happens, happens for good... Whatever the party gave, I accepted it willingly and obeyed the command..."
On Punjab in-charge Sachin Pilot, he says, "When he was appointed in charge, I went to formally congratulate him. I spoke with him for about 15 minutes that day... but I haven't met him since... Given my long journey in politics, I feel that Sachin Pilot must have decided it was time to remove 'Raja' from the post. I don't have concrete proof of this, but perhaps the General Secretary felt that Raja should be removed... Otherwise, there is no specific issue... I have conveyed what I had to say to Rahul Gandhi. There is no one left after Rahul Gandhi to whom I could explain what should or shouldn't happen..."
You will always remain my President, @kashikirai Ji. ❤️
I have seen you struggle on the ground when nobody was ready to take up this responsibility. You stood up when others stepped back.
You gave everything to the organisation. You sacrificed your time, your comfort and your energy for the workers.
The joy on workers’ faces whenever they saw you was truly special. You gave them hope, confidence and a feeling that someone was always standing with them.
Rahul Gandhi knew everything you did on the ground. He knew your contribution, your struggles and your commitment.
Sometimes political circumstances change. Decisions change. But the respect you earned from workers can never be taken away.
For lakhs of us, you will always remain an inspiration. ❤️
