#BREAKING Lawyers Associations For Constitution forms an independent commission comprising former Judges to conduct an inquiry into the validity and impact of SIR exercise.

The commission will be led by Justice MB Lokur (former SC Judge) and will also consist of :

Justice AK Patnaik (former SC Judge)

Justice Badar Darrez Ahmad (former CJ, J&K HC)

Justice Rekha Sharma (former Delhi HC Judge)

Justice Anjana Prakash (former Patna HC Judge).

Senior lawyers Kapil Sibal @KapilSibal , Prashant Bhushan @pbhushan1 , CU Singh, PC Sen, Raju Ramachandran, Rebecca M John, Warisha Farasat, Vrinda Grover @vrindagrover , etc will give legal assistance to the Commission.

The Commission will conduct public hearings and will attempt to release a report by December 2026.

अच्‍छा है भारत में ऐसा नहीं होता, अपने यहां लोकतंत्र है, स‍िस्‍टम अभी भी सबके ल‍िए बराबर है.

इसल‍िए कहता हूं - लोकतंत्र जरूरी है. वरना हमारा हाल भी पाक‍िस्‍तान जैसा हो जाएगा - जहां कोर्ट से लेकर चुनाव आयोग तक, सब ब‍िक चुके हैं.
