Trending: Nigerian Police officers in Korope allegedly chased 3 guys with cutlasses after they left a cinema, labelled them cultists, and demanded ₦5 million for their release in Festac.
After leaving the cinema around 10pm for a Spider-man viewing. They noticed people running over a police raid, the trio too decided to run back to the Mall for safety, as the police men chased them with machetes and guns.
Upon safe arrival at the mall, the officers went in, yanked them out, and first accused them of being armed robbers who had discarded their guns, daggers and weapons during the chase.
The trio explained they were just coming from Genesis cinema, tendered their tickets showing the time, date and seat for the movie.
Then, the police switched, this time insisted they were cultists who discarded their pistols during the chase and will be charged to court accordingly.
Even though nothing incriminating was found on them, the korope untagged men in black, took them to the station around 1:30a.m. Asked them to write statements and pay ₦5,000,000.00 for their bail.
After searching their phones and seeing their account balance, they settled for ₦100,000 and released them on a Brand New Day around 5:30 a.m.
According to @ayo4pf_ police said they were arrested for loitering in a cultist zone.
A traumatic Far From Home experience for the Spidey fans.

Against all odds, the people of Osun State have turned out in large numbers and are speaking with one voice.
The safety and protection of our people is paramount. I commend the security agencies deployed for this election and urge them to remain vigilant as we move into the collation of results; from polling units to wards to local government areas. I also call on INEC to uphold the highest standards of integrity throughout this process.
The federal government has provided adequate security, and I am confident in the professionalism of all institutions involved.
Democracy is at its strongest when we honor the wishes of our people and protect the sanctity of their votes. To every Osun citizen: I urge you to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and committed to this democratic moment.
Let the people’s will prevail.
