โFor years to come, there are many people on the right, in the media, and voters at large who are going to have to explain and justify how they fell into the trap of supporting Donald Trump.โ โ Marco Rubio, 2016

Why Boldy and Yurov make sense in a Larkin deal:
Boldy helps make the cap work. Yurov gives Detroit upside. The 2028 first gives Detroit currency. Another asset becomes the Tkachuk tax. Larkin gives Minnesota the center it still needs.
Want more than just Larks? That's why you negotiate.

Stingy Wild need to stop clutching Matt Boldy if they want Dylan Larkin https://t.co/H8sSXjKXBC
in addition to other players from @mnwild - I'm aware Jesper isn't enough for Jack - but I'm thinking Yurov, Stramel, (2) firsts and Jesper for Jack Hughes #onecandream
There are other small parts to this Jacob Markstrom-Evan Rodrigues trade. New Jersey did not retain salary on Markstrom, whose two-year extension ($6M AAV) kicks in next season.
@nhltraderumours He wonโt go to a Canadian Team period. Vegas ( best friend Eichel) and they could trade a good package for Sure. Utah lots of young talent up and coming, San Jose, Anaheim, Buffalo, Philly all lots of young talent to trade and of course Florida, Tampa.

My gut says with $15 mil cap space, they sign Mac with more term than usual so he can get his secured $$. 5 years at $2m per. He's too versatile to let go. Solidifies 2 spots up the middle that is the Wild Achilles.
Continued GM UFA moves.
Big Mac- he loves it here, but could get more elsewhere. He takes location over dollars, big time ferda
Johansson- I would like to see him off to Sweden personally. If he does come back on a 1 year, I say under a million for sure.

Working hard is important.
Ownership is harder.
No excuses. No blame. No waiting for someone else to fix it.
The best leaders and teams start with the mirror.

Product of a league run by the players. They dictate where they want to play. They also play when they want to play and the Wolves are full of players that don't want to play hard. They got paid, why should they work hard for it. Jordan would never let that happen.
@BrianHalverson Such a chicken/egg situation.
Is Finch not effectively reaching players, or is this roster just that undisciplined?
Honestly not sure. Could be some of both.
Sure feels like Finch can coach, but, it's an ongoing problem.
That + mailing in the regular season are the same.
Looking forward to seeing what BG does to make the @mnwild better. Love the nucleus and with a few pieces, think this team can better compete with the top teams in the league and realistically compete for the cup #RoadtotheCup
@kurtrolling What I had been saying - and saw plenty of others saying same - sucks that one of the best 3 teams in the West and 2 of, what, the best 5 in the league would be out i round 1โฆ the another in round 2. Regardless which they were.
Other leagues go out of their way to avoid this.
Fair - how about next year, when we're in the same boat when the playoffs start, we table the playoff format talk until the dust has settled. It leads to speculation that the reason they'll lose is because the playoff format sucks.
Again, for those in the back...
My tweet about the playoff format being moronic was not an excuse for the Wild.
The Wild needed to be better...
... AND ...
The NHL playoff format sucks.
Those statements are independent of each other.
The format sucks even if they'd won.
what is the option? Faber and Hughes play more minutes? The better option might have been breaking up Faber and Hughes to get more balanced on the defensive end. I like how Hunt played as well. #reasonsforhope
