संविधानाची आणि खाकी वर्दीची शपथ विसरले,
राग दरबारी गाण्या संघाच्या दारी हजर झाले!

एका बाजूला भारतीय संविधानाची शप��� घेऊन, जनतेच्या सुरक्षेची जबाबदारी अंगावर घेणार आणि दुसऱ्या बाजूला दिवसाढवळ्या समाजात द्वेष पसरवणाऱ्या राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघाची (RSS) जाहीर स्तुती करणार...हे कसले कर्तव्यदक्ष आयपीएस अधिकारी?

शासकीय सेवेत असताना अशा प्रकारे एका विशिष्ट विचारसरणीची आणि द्वेष पसरवणाऱ्या संघटनेची चाटूगिरी करणे म्हणजे लोकशाहीचा आणि संविधानाचा अपमान आहे. पोलिसांचे काम समाजात कायदा व्यवस्था राखणे आहे, की अशा विद्वेष पस���वणाऱ्या संघटनांचे गुणगान गाणे? संघाच्या लोकांनी दंगली घडवल्या हा इतिहास यांना माहिती नाही की काय ?

आता या महाशयांची बदली नागपूरला झाली आहे. बरं झालं, ज्यांची सेवा करायची आहे, आता थेट त्यांच्याच चरणी जाऊन ��ेवा करण्याची संधी यांना मिळाली आहे. पण लक्षात ठेवा, तुम्ही जनतेच्या पैशावर पगार घेणारे आणि डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांच्या संविधानाची शपथ घेतलेले सरकारी नोकर आहात, देशद्रोही संघाचे स्वयंसेवक नाही. वर्दीचा गैरवापर करून जर राजकीय आणि धार्मिक अजेंडा राबवणार असाल, तर नागपुर आणि महाराष्ट्राची संविधानप्रेमी जनता हे खपवून घेणार नाही!

This has been an alarming concern for years!

The reason behind the high dropout of SC/ST/OBC students is the implementation of the affirmative action only in letter and NOT in spirit; there has been a complete lack of political will by the successive governments.

The government's responsibility does not end at merely executing the policy of reservation and the entry of SC/ST/OBC students into educational institutions.
In fact, it starts at the entry of SC/ST/OBC. The government needs to create enabling equality and equity conditions and attitudes that would help these students from marginalised background combat the casteist and non-equitable reasons that force them to drop out and in extreme cases (which is very often) take their own lives.
