Doing a major sound design re-work for my game, and I’m constantly reminded of the fact that sound plays a huge role in selling the fiction of the world your creating. This game has a very ambiguous narrative, which makes it so much harder to design for. Up next is music!

When planning player abilities, especially in a game with some puzzle-y aspects, I always find it enlightening to create an ability matrix. Imagine you're making a game like Zelda. Your player character has a sword with two attacks: a quick slash and a more powerful bash.
