Trust in President Zelensky has risen from 43% to 57% in just one week, amid US plans for a deal with Russia and renewed pressure on Ukraine. Effectively, no one has done more to strengthen Zelensky's political standing than President Trump
Eighteen Ukrainian soldiers died fighting for the U.S. in Iraq. Many more Ukrainian pilots and contractors died in Afghanistan.
Zero American soldiers fought for Ukraine.
BREAKING: Ukraine has carried out the world’s first medical evacuation of a human via a drone from the battlefield the 30th mechanised brigade of Ukraine managed to save their injured comrade from a minefield.
Just absolutely insane.
We interviewed survivors who escaped Russian-occupied #Oleshky in the last few weeks.
They survived on 1 spoon or cup of food a day. Some ate grass & plants for sustenance. Many described horrific scenes which I found difficult to write about.

155 out of 197 components in Russia’s deadly Kinzhal missile are American-made. According to a recent report, nearly 79% of the identified components in one of russia’s most advanced missiles come from the United States. Another 17 come from Japan, 10 from Switzerland, and 7 from Taiwan. Only ONE component is russian-made.
Russia is using Western technology to build missiles that destroy Ukrainian cities, infrastructure, and homes, killing innocent civilians. Despite years of sanctions, russia continues to obtain these components through supply chains that circumvent restrictions. If the West is serious about stopping russia’s war machine, it must stop the flow of technology that keeps that machine running.

🚨BREAKING: This new chart from @TheStudyofWar overlays Ukraine’s strikes on Russian refineries with the price of diesel fuel. There is NO CORRELATION between strikes on Russian refineries and spikes in the price of diesel here in the U.S. They are not driving up prices here.
In light of the articles about Ukraine's Patriot shortage: Something that's important to understand about Ukraine's very limited supply of Patriot interceptors is that they run out almost every month by around mid month. This has been the case since early summer at least. But it happened on other occasions earlier, too. The US sends shipments of Pac-2 and Pac-3 interceptors to Kyiv in small batches, sometimes ~5-15 at a time, as they are produced. So we could write pretty much every month, 'Ukraine is out of Patriot missiles,' because after the first Russian attacks each month it's often the case.
US has not spent $350B on Ukraine. It has spent $132B, $33B of that is money. The rest is $21B in loans, repaid from frozen Russian assets, $4B in humanitarian aid, and the vast majority, $74B is military equipment.
Half that equipment is new, made in the US. The other half is old stockpile equipment, which soon would have had to be demilitarized at great cost. The replacement equipment is made in the US, so the money stays in the US.
Meanwhile, the EU and European countries have spent a combined $271B, more than twice as much as the US.
The mood in Ukraine is grim today. There's frustration and outrage here in Kyiv towards the Trump administration over what Ukraine's government, the troops and society believe is a deliberate attempt on the part of Washington to force Ukraine to capitulate to Russia – by withholding intelligence that allows early warning when Russian missiles are incoming, and cutting off Starlink to the military which needs it to strike and for defence against jet drones. These decisions cut intel sharing and restrict Starlink cost lives; at least 5 people killed in Kyiv, 6 more in Lutsk, dozens others badly injured.
Estonian spy chief is skeptical of the “little green men in Narva” scenario, pointing out that it would be extremely difficult for these operatives to show up in the border town without Estonian counter-intelligence detecting them.

The Washington Capitals — and the NHL as a whole — serve as a huge advertisement for Russia’s imperialist war as long as Alexander Ovechkin is in the league, @hasek_dominik writes. https://t.co/7eorUR8mPp

It’s Election Day in 🇱🇻. Many issues have been discussed during the campaign , but the country’s strategic orientation will hardly be affected by the election outcome.. https://t.co/6LhgRIU5hm
Good and level-heade article. We keep an eye on 🇷🇺, we will not be surprised, we have agency, we have strong defence forces, and we have capable allies. I hope people on this platform will finally calm down.

Zelenskyy says Trump confirmed to him in New York that he'd signed off on Patriot interceptor licenses for Ukraine
