WHY NEW YORK IS MOVING AWAY FROM THE LEFT (REASON #1983)
Manhattan residents provide 59% of personal income taxes collected in the great City of New York.
If half of Manhattan residents wish to access their home, they will be taxed for this. The tax will be diverted to the unelected MTA, which does not pay for or maintain the roads in the proposed congestion taxation zone consisting of an imaginary area that seeks to exclude based on socioeconomic class and mode of transportation.
And on top of that, the cost of every single good will increase because of this tax.
The MTA believes if you live below 60th street, you should be subject to this tax to support its regional operations and is unwilling to provide exclusions for these residents. The residents are also subject to a mortgage recording and real property transfers taxes.
Under one party radical leftist progressive rule, a portion of Manhattan will be a feudal manor for the MTA and an open air prison for residents.
