@ChrisDJackson Sure spend enormous amounts of government money importing people from other countries and what do you get? Increased economic activity and inflation from fiscal irresponsibility….. but I think you know that.
@ramit Where are you saving it? Under a mattress. If you “save” it in investments then maybe not you but someone will use that investment capital to invest in their business. Your company may need to find another CEO
There is no functional difference… both want to take control of certain economic functions “for the benefit of the people”. Which sounds nice and always has but the problem is in reality it historically has not worked out that well. The government is well intended in most cases but does NOT have a history of doing things well. It’s why private schools seem to educate more effectively and with over all better results, it’s why Space x can do the things it does that NASA can only hope to do and there are endless examples.
Well it’s a matter of degree… it is the responsibility of government to provide a safe environment with opportunities for society as whole to pursue a life of fulfillment and happiness for yourself and your family. But it is NOT the role of government to provide or guarantee it for anyone one individual, it is upto you to take advantage of the opportunities society presents.
@orrdavid I like your thinking but number 1 seems like by the time you get all the exemptions in what will be the point… it will likely only hit new wealthy people
agreed.. but first we have to fix the immigration problems created over the last several years… it is painful in some instances but necessary.
Then establish a proper immigration system that leads to legal immigration, followed by legal residence, then after a period of time citizenship
What is sad is the need to behave like petulant children when the nation is looking for leadership. I believe in what DJT and you were /are trying your best to achieve but this public spat is not productive in any way. All this does is put a spot light on notion that the both of you are immature and possibly not made of the stuff the American people or at least I thought you were.
@ArtemisConsort Given the on set of AI and the potential for large scale job loss in areas that it will takeover we maybe on the precipice of having to reorder how we govern ourselves and how the distribution of resources takes place. We are living in interesting times for sure
@boogyman61too@Mike14737621466@nut_history Jeez all I am saying is that if it DID hit the line it removes any doubt at all… I stated that I believe it is fair based on the video as is
Education is largely a “ lead a horse to water but cannot make it drink” it is not a race issue in so far as capabilities are concerned, it is a race issue only in that for a lot of reasons going to school and getting good grades doesn’t seem to be valued in poor black communities as much as it is in other poor communities of Asian to white communities. But the problem is increasing across the board irrespective of race, going to school and being successful is being devalued across the board, as a country we need to reverse this if we have any chance of digging out of our societal decline
@TalkinBaseball_ Didn’t see it live but gotta go with “inconclusive” To me it kind of comes down to did he come off the bag of his own momentum or did defender nudge him off? Umpire there had best view and slowing it down kind of takes away that part of the equation.
