“The way of Jesus is radically different. It is the way not of upward mobility but of downward mobility. It is going to the bottom, staying behind the sets and choosing the last place! Why is the way of Jesus worth choosing? Because it is the way to the Kingdom, the way Jesus took, and the way that brings everlasting life.”

“God’s love for us is not diminished by our failures or sins; it is an unshakable love that always calls us back to Him. In our brokenness, we discover that His mercy is greater than our deepest wounds.”

I just rewatched Wrath of Khan & The Search for Spock. They're really 1 movie. Both tap into heart of the series, and the continued exploration of what does it mean to be a good human being? And, what does it look like to let a few hammy actors chew through dramatic scenes.
And The Voyage Home (IV) is the best ensemble movie of the set. It cements the legacy with warmth, creativity, and rich contributions across all the players.

Monet painted The Magpie when he was 28. No one knew him.
He had just become a father and was living in extreme poverty.
He presented it at the Paris Salon and they laughed at him. They told him it was unfinished.
“To say ‘Your will be done’ is to place our lives in God’s hands with trust rather than control. It is the prayer that allows heaven to touch the earth through our surrender.”
