one thing i would like to highlight is that in each of these scenes, the people who are considered "higher class" are looking at curtis and his team with disgust as they pass by. it appears as if they are afraid or disgusted by curtis and his team.

@kayasko i think you make a great observation about how the different sections of the train could be seen as the class system or social hierarchy with the tail of the train being the less fortunate and the top being the most wealthy/powerful

and how Se-hee was a woman because he was a "quiet person with a cat". when i saw this scene i immediately thought about if Se-hee which masculinity (kkonminam or jimseungdol) Se-hee would fall under according to Anderson.

@poling_colin @elyzza_13 @Gr_e_tt_a while parents may think their intentions are good, they are often more harmful. this makes me think of when people say that parents try to live their dreams through their kids. ive heard this a lot in sports and it leads to the kids hating the game due to high expectations

@elyzza_13 yes especially in today's society, ive heard countless of life goals that have specific accomplishments that people want to do by a certain age. marriage is definitely a popular milestone that ive heard people want to have by their late 20s/early 30s. #smchallyu

@poling_colin this scene was really funny! im not sure how much of kpop/kdrama is driven by endorsements, but i have noticed that endorsements play some role in them. i definitely think that the purpose of an idol is to make something musical/artistic, and that the endorsements are just added.

@RyanMabanag3 @DavidGarz9 #smchallyu I took a History of Olympics class in high school and I learned about the politics that have affected certain Olympic games and I thought it was interesting to see how Madagascar pulling out of the Olympic Games affected Deok-sun.

What I like about this scene though is that towards the end of the fall it switches back to normal speed which I believe creates that everyday reality feel that the show is trying to demonstrate. It's definitely interesting how this switches from melodramatic to reality.
