Racism must never shape policies, institutions, or everyday decisions. To dismantle it, those affected must be able to challenge discrimination wherever it appears, making equality a reality.
⚖️ Justice grows when we take action, push for fair laws, and refuse to stay silent. A world built on dignity and respect is possible when we commit to it together. ✊🏾💙

Much of the progress on women’s rights has been due to mobilisation at the national level. At @Ganhri1, I underscored that all of society – States, national human rights institutions and others - must uphold gender equality as human rights face growing pressure.

The #Manipur Conflict: The ongoing violence in Manipur demands immediate action. The EU must press for an end to #internetshutdowns and #curfews, as demanded in the 2023 @Europarl_EN Urgency Resolution. India must protect religious and ethnic minorities as well as civilians in the region. #Manipur #Peace 2/8
Unau Welfare UK representatives submitted a memorandum on November 21, 2024 to the High Commissioner and team on the worsening state-sponsored ethnic cleansing of the #Kuki_Zo tribals in #Manipur
They highlighted the fact that attack on the #Kuki_Zo tribals continues to be carried out on all fronts - legal, physical, psychological, and online. They reiterated that violence will remain escalated and community relations irreparably estranged the longer CM N Biren Singh is in power. #ManipurTapes
They also urge the PM @narendramodi to break his 18-month long silence on Manipur. The Centre Government’s indifference is reinforcing the narrative that our lives are less valuable than those in the power. https://t.co/tcVNmPx3Q5
Thank you to @HCI_London for your time and engaged conversation. Thank you for your word to pass on our memorandum to the Office.
