ive said it once ive said it a million times lmaoo u guys have first row seats to this rodeo of watching me struggle to find pmf!! i hope it has been semi-enjoyable thus far! 😭

a little recap

4 years ago we started with

allowing users to donate to twitch streamers to influence their stream (like pressing their buttons drawing on their screen etc

from here we then wanted to expand upon intra-communal experience. so we created a 2d world to allow users to see each other while interacting with twitch streamers

we then continued that expansion and saw some traction for the first time on tiktok. we continued to build out this 2d world and form more of a game

the game started to dwindle so then we said hm okay maybe lets go back to focusing on twitch streamers and their audiences- so we moved towards sidequests

during sidequests it became clear that was a misstep- something was broken and not working in the last iteration but this wasnt the fix

we have then since reverted back to the localuniverse and are now focusing alot more energy on congregating users into location while they browse- and have it be as social as possible- with the game being their to simply help facilitate social interactions

the thesis is that the local universe truly is the first of its kind and the most unique thing i have ever built. we will continue down this path and continue iterating! i believe that there was simply FARRR too much friction with the chrome extension version as it became tedious to constantly have to open and close the extension everytime u browsed to a new website.

i was thinking about it all wrong- instead of trying to bring the local universe into the internet i SHOULD have been trying to bring the internet into the local universe where friction is ZERO!!! downloadable apps are also MUCH MUCH more trustworthy than chrome extensions-

so here we aree!! our very own local universe multiplayer browser is on the horizon! built from the ground up with an embedded wallet and mining / staking mechanics and much more planned!!

again i can never promise i KNOW what the correct next move is- but i CAN PROMISE i will never let a misstep stop me from building and finding pmf!!

again dont want to overpromise- the main things i focused on to get to release are

-> INCREDIBLE movement and networking with gorgeous client side prediction and reconciliation
-> finally finished rebuild into unity
-> new tokenomics which rewards holders
-> 2 new smart contracts
-> mining in the local universe
-> proximity voice chat
-> new front facing website
