I'm struggling to think of a worse, more unnecessary hill for any government to choose to die on.

One million people have already signed a petition against ID cards. If we’re serious about rebuilding trust, this is the last place to start.

@LeilaniDowding Star Trek (TNG especially) had a clever approach of showing both perspectives of a political problem, and either trying to compromise, or letting the audience decide who was right. It worked well and allowed them to cover current issues.

@BrightInsight6 What do you reckon of the moving of the thunder stone Jimmy? For me it at least shows it's possible (even if incredibly hard) to do before we had powered machinery. Though maybe the metal sled in that example is the game changer. Accepted that the distance is much shorter too.
