I often think I'm getting better at "peating" year after year, learning more about physiology and myself, better intuition, more skilful living etc., and that's why I'm feeling better each year.
But I can't shake the feeling that it's all just "time in the saddle" avoiding PUFA.
@The_Texian@RayPeatHeadShop That's fine. I feel great if I eat those. Maybe just be wary of the source. Liver is good pan fried and in tacos with a bunch of yummy stuff like bell peppers, cheese, fresh herbs and some lime.
@RayPeatHeadShop@bronzeageshawty Interesting, if I get a fungal issue it takes a long time for it to resolve, even with regular carrot salad. I haven't considered that one fungi might take out the other one. Will have to give that a go I stead of the carrot for that time of issue.
@bronzeageshawty@adhd_jeeba Flowers of sulphur should clear it up quick. Are you eating much fat for bile flow? Is your morning and afternoon temperature good? I only get fungal issues when my temperature is low.
@texasrunnerDFW People don't eat as much electrolyte containing food like OJ, milk, potatoes probably due to their stigmatisation, especially fruit juices. I consume a lot of those foods and don't feel the need for excessive amounts of water unless I am sweating a lot.
After several weeks, I've come to the conclusion that what I thought was just getting "sick" too often was just lung inflammation and edema from the constan-yet-tolerable gut irritation, perhaps then also making me susceptible to infection. Endotoxin up, CO2 low, hyperventilation
After just a week of daily "buteyko"-adjacent meditation (20 min a day) and a daily carrot salad got rid of intermittent histamine issues of stress, panic, and lightheadedness and dizziness... Maybe replacing the mattress protector and the HEPA air filter helped too, but less so.
@anabology It seems like everything can be explained by some kind of learned helplessness reaction. I've often wondered too if basic biological things are a form of it as well. Meditating is a good way to practise "letting go" of the aversion and then experience that nothing bad happens.
@rfleury@ouraring I bought and used it back when there was no subscription model. It was great. Now that I sleep well and the battery has had it, t's just an expensive ring, but it was worth it. The subscription sounds like aas
@jillian_twigger I'm a progesterone baby and my parents despite not having a clue what I was on about half the time always listened to me growing up when I would yap about stuff I was interested in. That's all that mattered. Also, being intellectual is not really related to IQ.
@exfatloss@AbudBakri Vit A (from the cream) is involved in transcription enzymes for steroid synthesis from cholesterol. If your thyroid function is good and your cholesterol synthesis/intake and vit A are also good, then you will be synthesising a lot of preg+ downstream steroids from cholesterol
@iamjustapeater I've been able to do without lately with just thyroid, liver, magnesium glycinate, and daily meditation+carrot salad. The higher CO2 seems to be an equivalent substitute. Harder than popping a pill though. Had to take some today though as I felt I might be getting a bit run down
@disgotheque@ZNagnolia67420@JimHistHub It has its benefits. Most people spend the day with family and everyone is okay walk outside or at a restaurant, in town, lakes, the river, etc. but it is frustrating if you aren't used to it and/or find it hard to get everything done. I find I have no time do to clothes shopping
