@LadePlatinum Exactly plus the season focusing on the kids gives background to older characters in the show, not needing it to be spelt out for us. We don’t see it but you can see how Chris, weebay, snoop became who they are via Micheal, bubbles - dookie etc etc, I thought this was so clear 😭

The gap between Calafiori, Havertz & Saka and their alternatives who started many matches last season (Hincapie, Gyökeres & Madueke) is significant. Keeping the first trio fit for more matches this season is an upgrade without even considering transfers. Maybe the smallest gap is between Calafiori & Hincapie but given the strong defensive nature of the rest of Arsenal’s team, what Calafiori offers in the final third is more valuable than Hincapie’s defending.

Even for all the Gyok fans talking about output, Havertz got half his GA last season in less that 1/3 of the minutes. Can’t wrap my head around anyone that sees him as more than a backup.

Havertz should have a widespread reputation of being the classic example of a striker who makes the attackers around him play better. The reason he doesn’t is aesthetics Channel runs in transitions, back to goal hold-up vs big CBs, aerials, small darts in the box to overload. Intelligence + physical traits combo.
