The culture of a school is created by everyone in the school. Walk in a school and see how the front office staff talks and interacts or the staff /teachers in the hallway. Yes the admin influences it but everyone is ultimately responsible for a positive school culture.

If you want to MAKE plays, then don’t miss practice, workouts, extra reps, meals, film, etc. As Navy Seals say ”Under pressure you don’t rise to the occasion. You sink to the level of your training.” You don’t fall victim to pressure. You fall victim to your lack of preparation!
Championship players become champions because they have more -ABILITY
Your -ABILITY has nothing to do with your talent and everything to do with what makes you a great teammate

I keep preaching to you high school kids, the same old song. College coaches don’t care about your scoring. Can you break down in a defensive stance and stop the man in front of u from scoring. That’s more important than anything. Are u tough enough to get it done.🤔🏀🤔
My coach used to say, "my pg can never have a bad practice"
I took pride and lived by this. It didn't mean that I could never make mistakes but it meant that I could never show up & not give my best
I needed to give energy, be a great teammate, and set the tone every single day
PLAYERS: Your shot might be off, but your hustle never should be. You can't always control every factor in a game but you can always control your effort. Hustle and effort are talents that you can excel at regardless of size, strength, or speed. HUSTLE NEVER HAS AN OFF-DAY!
“I like the challenge of getting players to rise to certain levels, but that's the easy part. The biggest challenge is to get them to believe in what we're doing. They have to understand that it's O.K. to have good days and bad days.”
- Dawn Staley

Not playing?
1. What kind of energy are you bringing to your team?
2. Are you staying engaged and invested in the game?
This is how you can still positively impact your team, even though you may not be on the floor.
