@alexander_olly Exactly. I just wish the media would talk to real people who are trans, have a family member who is trans. My child waited 3 yrsfor blockers after countless appts with many agencies inc tavistock. She is now 17 & we have a new exciting wait for adult services to take over

If my daughter had not received blockers she would not be here now. The thought of going into puberty as a man was unbearable.
The decision to take blockers needs to be treated as an individual case not a blanket decision.

My daughter began therapy at the Tavistock aged 12 and it took 3 years of intense work by The Tavistock combined with support by Camhs, school and family for blockers to finally be agreed. This is administered by our supportive G.P
