‘ಪ್ರೇಮದ ಊರಲಿ’ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೂ ಮುನ್ನವೇ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೆ. ಈಗ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಸಿಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅದ್ಭುತ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ, ಆ ಮಾತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ನಿಜವಾಗಿದೆ ಅನ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ನಾಳೆ ಚಿತ್ರತಂಡದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನೋಡಲಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಂತೆ ನಾನೂ ‘ಪ್ರೇಮದ ಊರಲಿ’ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಜೊತೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗೆ ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ಸದಾ ಇರಲಿ.

Total disgrace to the MS Subbulakshmi biopic for casting Cringemika in such an iconic role, Her performances often feel artificial on screen, and even her off-screen persona comes across as overly dramatic. I genuinely feel this casting choice is a huge misfire.

wonder whether influence played a role in the casting, because there are so many talented actors who could have brought much more authenticity and grace to the role of MS Subbulakshmi!

For an icon of this stature, the casting needed to be absolutely perfect. This choice is honestly disappointing.
