We are supposedly at war to stop Iran from enriching the uranium we “obliterated” over a year ago.

Yesterday we signed a deal to help Saudi Arabia enrich uranium.

The first time the United States has ever helped another country enrich uranium on foreign soil.

The Saudis refused the inspection protocol 140 other countries accept. Too intrusive, they said.

Trump agreed. He signed a national security waiver to get around the rule.

The Saudis paid Kushner $100 million. They put $2 billion into his firm. They put another $6 billion into LIV Golf, which pays Trump properties to host its tournaments. They signed ten billion dollars in Trump-branded real estate deals in Jeddah and Riyadh. All in just the last few years.

The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.

The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.

Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.

If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

Conan O'Brien used his Harvard University commencement speech to argue that humility and the human connection matter far more than any diploma.

"I always recognize the enormous role of luck in my life. Refusing to see how luck has played a role in anyone's success is simply ignorant. Many people are happy to mistake a lucky poker hand for their own brilliance, and fighting that human instinct has kept me sane.

"I honestly believe that community, spontaneity, and a real commitment to humility has helped me build a rich life that means much more to me than any diploma. And believe me, I'm not saying the goal is to renounce accomplishments, but rather to metabolize them. If you carry your victories lightly, other qualities –- kindness, originality, courage, humor, and humanity –- have room to emerge.

"Maybe the greatest lessons I've learned along these lines have been through my 24 travel shows. I have degraded myself in Cuba, Ghana, Korea, Armenia, half of Europe, Argentina, Thailand, Mexico, and Greenland, where I visited a real estate office and tried to buy the country. Guards forcibly ejected me. I was roundly mocked by patrons for my pathetic display. But I did see a lot of smiles. And not one person said, now that's a Harvard grad.

"In Tokyo, I met with a teacher of Japanese etiquette who volunteered I wasn't her type. And when I asked her why, she just said, 'face.' In Ghana, after accepting a royal invitation, I was kicked out of the Ashanti Palace by the Queen Mother, because her favorite soap opera was starting.

"I understand that I am preaching modesty and connection at a time when this is not in style. We are living through a period of extreme narcissism. Our current leadership in Washington believes that empathy is a weakness and that our nation stands supreme and alone. Add to that, everyone here today has a phone in their pocket that is algorithmically programmed to celebrate you and you alone by making you the protein-maxing hero of your own special journey.

"Much has been written about how isolated and siloed we've become, but for me, the antidote is quite simple. By de-emphasizing what makes us special — in your case, a prized degree — we can really find one another, not as an exercise in virtue, but as a path towards greater laughter, love, and real growth."

Let's not overcomplicate this. Thomas Massie lost because he took on the Machine. His loss was not the result of differing philosophies, but brute force politics.

This is not, as some Trump apologists are overly intellectualizing, a backlash to Massie being obstinate (he voted with Republicans more than 90 percent of the time), or his insufficient enthusiasm for enforcing immigration law (every purported example of this is Massie voting against an unconstitutional bill that also contained something ostensibly hawkish on immigration), or "Jew hatred" as the most irresponsible accounts on here are suggesting.

Massie’s cardinal sin has always been trying to keep Washington confined to its own purported constitutional restraints. For that he’s being chased out of town.

He also touched the third rail. He lifted the veil on Washington, enabling us to get peak at how power is actually wielded behind the scenes.

Which brings us to Epstein: If you still believe this topic is some harebrained conspiracy theory, I understand you have not looked into it for yourself. And I can sympathize. It's overwhelming & confusing & seemingly dark & ultimately it's just easier to wait & see what other people tell us about it. And when the corporate media instead focuses on more mundane matters, we eventually presume the whole thing was just nonsense after all.

Everyone is on their own intellectual journey; not everyone wants to jump straight into the deep end of the pool. I understand it's easier, & preferable, to believe simpler narratives, such as Trump being a heroic figure here to deliver us from the fallout of far-left progressivism.

But if that were true, he wouldn't have had any issues with Massie. The reality -- however reluctant Trump voters are to acknowledge it -- is that things have been getting steadily worse since his second term began. To wit:

Inflation: January 2025, 2.9 percent; today, 3.8 percent (and unfortunately it's ramping up)

Unemployment: 4.0 percent in Jan. 2025; today, 4.3 percent. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate fell to 61.8 percent, its lowest since October 2021, so the headline understates the softening.

National debt: $36.22 trillion in Jan. 2025; today, $39 trillion.

Debt servicing: Taxpayers are currently spending $3 billion/day just on interest, eclipsing the Pentagon budget, and soon Social Security.

Foreign policy: Chaos, which is suspiciously profitable for those in the know

Almost every reliable economic indicator is flashing red, signaling an imminent global economic crash. And when that happens, you back be sure the Blackrocks of the world will use it as a major buying opportunity, further consolidating their power.

Trump voters can keep pulling the wool over their eyes and pretending it’s not real. But eventually the truth will become inescapable. And when that day comes & they seek solutions, they can talk to Thomas Massie.
