Amendment 6 locks petition laws in the Constitution and makes it nearly impossible for the people you elect, or future voters, to rectify flawed amendments.

This is pride and posturing from a politicized, activist, liberal court lacking basic competence on the supremacy clause trying to have their cake and eat it to — don’t tell me it’s a republican appointed court. That argument is empty once you know anything about the Missouri Plan.

The leftist Missouri Bar and trial lawyers control the process and make very limited back room recommendations on judicial selection.

Considerations for longer term next steps: (1) MOSC Impeachment. It’s a low threshold, removal only check to rebalance the branches; (2) Begin the process to replace the MO Plan with the federal system, requiring appointment by the Governor with advice and consent of the Senate.

MOLeg and MOGOP need to start focusing on structural changes to MO governance. Change the structure. Fix the function.
