starting to accept maybe tech is at most a job to me, my interest in it does not really go beyond that. Twitter makes it seem like I should make it my entire life lol
write down your accomplishments as often as possible. it’s easy to forget all the amazing things we’ve done when our focus is on what we have to do next.
We shouldn’t glorify the “grind”.
Let’s glorify:
• 8 hours of sleep
• Taking vacation days
• Taking regular breaks
• Taking mental health days
• Working on something meaningful
• Turning work off when it’s done
• Setting work-life boundaries
• Making friends at work
Did you know: lots of 1st gen Asian parents don't teach their kids their native language in order to make integrating at school easier. My parents never spoke Thai to me, and I didn't want to learn b/c of my own proximity to whiteness. It's a constant source of regret for me.
