More than 19,000 displaced Artsakh Armenians have evacuated to Armenia, nearly 1/5th of the country.

2,500 were provided with accommodation. Specifically, 1,000 in Syunik, 500 in Vaik, and 500 in Gegharkunik. Housing accommodations are being organized in the Tavush Province.

The Stepanakert-Kornidzor road is experiencing heavy congestion due to various factors, leading to a lack of communication for many Artsakh citizens who have been traveling to the Republic of Armenia since yesterday. Phone charging problems have already arisen, and there are shortages of fuel and food, exacerbating the slow-moving queue.

The operational procedures at the illegal Azerbaijani checkpoint are causing further hardship and humiliation for Artsakh Armenians and artificially extending the already kilometer-long queue. This is occurring due to the collapse of state administration, as individuals are chaotically attempting to move to the Republic of Armenia as fast as possible.

According to information circulating on the internet, the Berdzor corridor’s current capacity is approximately 20-30 cars per hour, but around 10,000 cars departed from Stepanakert. This situation will create additional challenges for people, leaving them stranded on the road for days, already exhausted and worn out from the war and blockade.
